which character gets overshadowed to you? Posted: 20 May 2022 09:07 AM PDT i honestly think trucy is. maybe im biased because shes my favourite mainline girl, but she truly was put aside after aj. tell me. can you remember a moment in dual destinies trucy felt like a MAIN CHARACTER? a character thats apart of the waa? really, i cant. and if there IS, lmk. but honestly. after everything that happened with troup gramarye, youd expect trucy to grwo as a character even further, but she really doesnt. she feels hollow. she also had such an important connection to apollo, yet i dont remember that in dd.[dd] and then you have soj. im glad she got the spotlight in case 2, and honestly thats why i really like that case. it focused on trucy and how she tries putting up a smile, even when she is feeling horrible. that scene in the detention center where she cried and thanked apollo touched my heart. it really felt like the writers acknowleged her. but not much after that. hell, she barely shows up after that. other than trying to stop apollo and wright's discourse during the final case, trucy doesnt play a huge role in soj either DESPITE apollo's new backstory.[soj] but enough of my rambling, who do you think deserves attention? Questions about a character in TGAA Posted: 20 May 2022 03:40 PM PDT The spoiler here is that the character itself isn't in the game, that character being Professor James Moriarty. I've never read a Sherlock Holmes story (nothing against them, just not that interested in reading them) but pop culture has told me that of all the enemies that Sherlock has 'battled' against, Moriarty is the hardest to defeat, to the point that Moriarty can be considered Holmes' rival. Some might even say that Moriarty is just as famous as Sherlock. With that in mind, why was Moriarty not even mentioned once? There were 2 posts in this subreddit that mentioned Moriarty (here and here), and some responses there figure that the 'Professor Killings' are a reference to Professor James Moriarty. Fair enough, a neat but not-obvious reference, if a bit lame. So, 2 questions:

Assign your favorite AA character a video game they would spend 8 hours playing Posted: 21 May 2022 12:31 AM PDT I'll start: Simon Blackquill plays the Sims because he can play god (and feel emotionally connected to the three generations of sims he cared for all day and painstakingly watched die after getting married, having kids, and growing old). Can someone explain why Apollo just seems… dumb? Posted: 20 May 2022 10:54 PM PDT Right now I'm on Case 3, "Turnabout Serenade". I'm on Day 2, First Trial. If you would refrain from spoiling I'd really appreciate it lol. But so far in this case specifically he just seems really dumb. He's constantly forgetting things the game mentioned before, specifically the vent, window, and most importantly the code found in the song. It feels like they are purposefully dumbing him down as to make Klavier look smarter, but Klavier is literally just repeating things the player already knows so instead it just makes Apollo look dumb. I get him being dumb in the first and second cases, the first was his first ever trial and the second was his first trial with investigations and no mentor. But he's just exceedingly dumb in Case 3, constantly needing an explanation for everything. I really like Apollos character, so far there isn't a character in this game that I dislike either. I also don't understand why this is the case though. [link] [comments]

Should I play Investigations before Apollo Justice? Posted: 20 May 2022 06:11 AM PDT I recently beat Trials and Tribulations and also managed to pick up all of the Ace Attorney games available on 3DS, but the only two I don't have are investigations 1 and 2. I know Investigations 2 is Japanese only and I'll probably emulate it at some point but my computer sucks so that probably won't be soon, and I saw investigations 1 is on the App Store. Before playing Apollo Justice, should I try to at least play investigations 1, and is the mobile version a good way to do so? [link] [comments]
