Character tier list based purely on designs

Kristoph Gavin is the most criminally underutulized character in the Ace Attorney franchcise.

To this day, I'm still pissed that you put him in prison in the first case, with him doing nothing for the second and third cases. By the time you reach the fourth case, he's already in prison, so there's not much satisfaction in putting him behind bars.... because he was already behind bars.....

Also, I hate that his realtionship with Apollo and Klavier was never really expanded on. The fact that Apollo is putting his own mentor behind bars, and Kristoph barely comments on any of it already irks me, but it was such a wasted opportunity to never really show the relationship Apollo had with his mentor, and it would have been great to see how he interacted with people that weren't Phoenix. Also, imo anyways, it would have been one of the greatest twists in the Ace Attorney history, to have your own mentor be the one that caused the beloved Phoenix Wright to get disbarred, and I think it would have made a great, gut-wrenching final case. I just really feel like Kristoph's character is such a great one, and yet such a missed opportunity in and of itself, which is why I feel so conflicted about Apollo Justice as a whole.

Anyways, that's just my opinion, and I'd like to know what you guys think. Kristoph is one of my favorite villains in the series, which is why I feel so strongly about him.

(SOJ: 6-2) Isn't this character in trouble?

    Posted: 17 May 2022 08:47 AM PDT

I'm referring to Betty De Famme.

Just finished the Magical Turnabout last night, and I gotta say, I really liked it. However, there's a certain thing that bothered me a little. The case against Trucy was initially intended to be a charge of an accident/unintentional manslaughter, which is basically when you kill someone without the intent to do so.

Granted, by the end of the investigation phase, it's revealed that Nayhuta found a venue to turn the accident case into an actual homicide case, but the point is, it's still possible in AA to try someone for manslaughter, with more lenient penalties, of course. However, if manslaughter makes the perpetrator criminally responsible, wouldn't Betty De Famme be tried for the same crime as well? After all, while she obviously didn't know that dropping the dragon piece would lead to Mistree's death, that's pretty much the nature of manslaughter.

There might be a post-credits scene addressing this, so I apologize in advance if that's the case. Thanks for anyone that read this post btw :)

Things you would want from the AA7 story

I personally would like a system where you are given the option of ignoring the truth in favor of just convicting the correct person. I remember playing a fan case which did this so well where you had the option of just convicting the likely culprit and ending the case there or pursuing the truth further and pulling to light the truth that the death was caused by a kid and was an accident. I think implementing a system like this to ace attorney 7, where your choices of how far you pursue the truth or not could change how a particular case plays out or even the game as a whole.

Question about the prosecution in 5-1

    Posted: 17 May 2022 10:20 AM PDT

Why does Gaspen prosecute Juniper instead of Blackquill? Like it happened in the middle of The Cosmic Turnabout so I would presume it would be more logical for Blackquill to do so.

How good do you expect AA7 to be when you play it?

    Posted: 16 May 2022 09:27 PM PDT

Why is Iris spelled “I r i s” in 4-5? Seen in the comparison its spelled with spaces in her name. (Potential spoilers in the comments for 4-5 idk im not far in the episode to know if its a spoiler or not)

Honestly it was a good game but still kind of underwhelming, it had some nice moments, the soundtrack is amazing and the logic system is nice, but i received some spoilers before finishing it and even if i din't i would still find the whole smuggling ring plot boring, except for Calisto i personally din't liked any of the villains, Alba gave me some Manfred vibes but without any weight or Gants without charisma and i wish i never have to refute him ever again, the final case is really good untill it gets dragged on, but my main problem with it it's again how the smuggling ring aren't a menace that you care about and the coolest thing about it it's seeing Edgeworth taking down a world leader (well It the help of Lang), pretty much Rise from the Ashes 2.0, If you deleted the whole "Larry sus" part and made the Manny Coachen investigation faster leading to Alba, making it better to play

And about Wolfy, he is amazing, his theme is s tier and deserved more screentime, just like the entire heroes cast who carried the game on their shoulders

Also it doesn't have any bad case in particular, but also no really good one

Now i started AA2 and the first case alone is aleardy better than the entirety of AA1 in terms of fun and even story in my opinion lol
