An idea for a new Prosecutor (for AA7 if it ever comes out)

    Posted: 16 May 2022 02:07 AM PDT

What if there is a prosecutor who's being channeled by a spirit medium? I mean, I feel like that would make sense. Every single Prosecutor in the main line games have had some sort of defining characteristic - Manfred von Karma's perfectionism, Franziska von Karma's whip, Simon Blackquill literally being a convict, etc etc. So I feel like it'd be perfect if a deceased Prosecutor was being channeled by a spirit medium and maybe the last case in the game is to figure out the truth behind why the Prosecutor is dead in the first place (like maybe they were murdered)

Which people are on the AAI2 touch screen?

What cases that are better when played with a group?

    Posted: 16 May 2022 08:36 AM PDT

I've been playing the Ace Attorney games over Discord where one person shares their screen while everyone else voices the characters. Typically, these sessions will have 4-8 people sitting in a call, trying to dissect the mysteries. It also helps that every single person is going in blind (except me, but only margnially), not sure what to expect.

We have just finished the Ace Attorney Trilogy on Steam and will probably be doing the Investigations spin-offs soon. I know the first game isn't that great and that the second game's enjoyment varies from person to person, but I was wondering if any of these cases are better due to the group setting.

I can safely say that even lackluster cases such as 2-1, 2-3, and 3-3 are really elevated thanks to having a group piece together all the mysteries and contradictions, alongside the silly voices and inside jokes created throughout the games (ex: the whole cape shenanigans in 2-3 was met with an absurd amount of laughter due to how ludicrous the whole thing was). I'm hoping the AAI games don't screw with that formula too much.

Have any of you played the AA games with a group, and if so, what cases managed to be better than you expected?

has there ever been a case that left you guys feeling immensely down after playing it?

    Posted: 16 May 2022 09:28 AM PDT

For me, it was turnabout big top. I feel as if the case being so grimy and depressing was done on purpose; a subversion of expectations for something that takes place in a circus.

Case TGAA-1 and 3-1 are veeerrrry similar

    Posted: 15 May 2022 09:19 PM PDT

Ok so something occurred to me when I first played The Adventure of the Great Departure: It is very similar to Turnabout Memories. Sorry if this take is so cold it's SubArctic but I genuinely haven't seen anyone talking about it. So I'm going to subject you all to it

    • Case involves the main character and their mentor figure which was (1-2 and TGAA-2 Spoilers) One of the last cases they took before they died
    • Both of them have a Payne losing their hair at the end (Though that just goes without saying)
    • Both were the main lead being accused
    • Both of their culprits are a (3-4/5 TGAA2-1 Spoilers)>! recurring female character!<
    • Both had poison being one of the main points of the vase
    • both were special poisons that could only have been acquired due to working with chemicals at a university
    • Both had the entire courtroom being complete simps to the culprit
    • Both of the breakdowns involve multiple animals leaving their body
    • And one of the biggest similarities: Both involve after discovering the poison someone takes the poison/destroys the evidence in something so ludicrous that I was loudly screaming "You idiots" at the top of my lungs

Did anyone else notice this (if I'm being honest, probably), and I just felt like sharing

who tried to kidnap Vera Misham?

    Posted: 15 May 2022 06:51 AM PDT

Always wondered about this as it was one of the reasons why she became a hermit like her dad. Was it just an event never explained in detail or do we find out who it actually was?

Why are all the medical facilities in the games called clinics??

    Posted: 15 May 2022 12:37 PM PDT

This is literally such a stupidly minor point, but I've always wondered...why are they all called "clinics?" I know some hospitals (Mayo Clinic, Cleveland Clinic) have "clinic" in their name, but it doesn't seem super common. Maybe it's a localization/language thing?
