Posted: 22 Jan 2022 11:28 PM PST What are some interesting theories or headcannons that you all have come up with? I have two of my own, so feel free to let me know what you think of these theories. My first theory concerns Phoenix's disbarment. When going over the events of what actually, I always wondered why it was so hard to prove how he couldn't have forged the diary page. After all, if the bar association had investigated the detention center security footage, they would have realized that Phoenix wasn't in contact with Zak until the day before the trial, making it nearly impossible for him to request the forgery. Even if the footage was gone, there should have been visitation logs, or even guard testimony. Besides, even if those methods didn't exist, Phoenix explicitly states that it was never proved that he forged evidence when talking to Valant when you go through the past segment of the Mason System. Given how the legal system is supposedly founded on the principle of innocent until proven guilty, the fact that it was never proven that Phoenix requested the forged diary page should have meant that the bar association couldn't really disbar him. Additionally, while it is true that Phoenix was a fairly well respected lawyer at the time of the murder, his incident shouldn't have been the first time that a lawyer forged evidence, so why was this incident one of the two that triggered the so called "dark age of the law"? This was a question I had always pondered, when I came across a post discussing the UR-1 case, and how it wasn't just that a prosecutor got convicted of murder, but the way that the case was covered up that help trigger the "dark age of the law". This got me thinking, what if there was a conspiracy behind Phoenix's disbarment as well? Kristoph may have set Phoenix up, but I doubt he had the clout to rig the hearing the way it turned out by himself. So, what if he wasn't exactly alone? What if Kristoph colluded with someone or multiple people from the bar association to make sure that Phoenix lost his badge? My headcannon is that this is exactly what happened, and while the media was having a field day tearing apart Phoenix at first, the transcripts of the hearing were eventually released, and this caused the public to suspect that there was more going on. This would also explain why Phoenix forging the diary page is described as rumors instead of fact. My second theory involves the bloody ace from Turnabout Trump. Phoenix confesses to Apollo that the card is a fake, which results in Apollo becoming so livid that he actually punches Phoenix. However, despite all that, Apollo continues to work with him and by the time DD and SoJ come around, the two seem to be on fairly good terms. Additionally, although Phoenix mentions that the card could easily be outed as a fake, it never happens. Another point to mention is that while Kristoph might have not been able to out the card as a forgery before his conviction, there is no reason for him not to do so afterwards. Even if he had gotten rid of the original, he could have at least tried to convince the police to examine the card. Finally, even if Phoenix had become extremely jaded and cynical thanks to being disbarred, forging evidence just isn't him. This leads me to believe that either the card is not actually fake, and Phoenix lied to Apollo, or that the card is a fake, but Phoenix didn't forge it. For this scenario, we know that Kristoph didn't do the best of jobs covering up the murder as he used the wrong colored cards to replace the ones he removed. Apollo had already proven to the court that that the cards were swapped after the murder, mostly likely by the killer. This, when combined with Olga's testimony about the missing Ace and Phoenix's request, should have warranted a thorough search of the crime scene, which would have revealed the hidden passageway. Given that none of the known people involved with the crime had the missing card on hand, this would had led to the conclusion that the killer was someone else, someone who was at the scene before the crime, then left. This conclusion, in conjunction with Phoenix's recorded phone call, would have put Kristoph under a large amount of suspicion. However, if Kristoph had hidden it at the crime scene, he could have spun the story so that the killer hid the card to give the impression that the killer left the crime scene so the killer had to be someone who didn't leave. This would explain why Kristoph hid the bloody ace or forged it, and if the card was real, then his reaction was simply an act in an attempt to prevent the card from being accepted as evidence. In both scenarios, we'd need to come up with reasons as to why Phoenix would lie. If the card was a forgery, then Phoenix lying would be his method of covering for Apollo, who accidentally presented fake evidence. If the card was real, then Phoenix technically would have no real reason to lie, but I can think of two possibilities. The first possibility is that Phoenix decided to set everything up to mimic what happened to him and lied about the fake evidence so that he could teach Apollo a lesson about being careful when presenting evidence and prevent him from making the same mistake. The second possibility is that Phoenix had just used Apollo in his scheme to get Kristoph behind bars, and Kristoph was Apollo's former boss and mentor. Phoenix most likely wasn't expecting Apollo to be too happy with him, not to mention that Phoenix himself probably didn't take pleasure in the situation himself, and was most likely already suffering from some amount of self-deprecation or loathing. In this scenario, Phoenix felt that he didn't deserve Apollo's respect, so he lied in order to push Apollo away and give the guy an excuse to hate him. [link] [comments]
If Ace Attorney anime adapted later games Posted: 22 Jan 2022 04:21 PM PST How I'd predict the episodes would go: Season 3 - Rise from the Ashes + Apollo Justice
Season 4 - Dual Destinies
Season 5 - Spirit of Justice

Which of the games are available on 3DS? Posted: 22 Jan 2022 06:39 PM PST I am currently playing the first game, out of the Phoenix Wright Trilogy, and I really enjoy the series. I plan on playing the other games as well. Are all other games playable on the 3DS? I like the experience I had on it, and would like to continue this format. [link] [comments]

Posted: 22 Jan 2022 08:07 PM PST Why does everyone hate this case again? I thought it was enjoyable, nothing amazing but I thought it was better than G1-1. I've heard a lot of people say this is the worst case in the duology, but I just don't see it. [link] [comments]
How do I feel about the third case Soj Posted: 22 Jan 2022 09:06 PM PST Freshly finished the case here, I think I get the point why the third cases are always the worst. I did like the twist and turn in the case actually, it was pretty well designed in my opinion. But...... the phasing of emotional flows and expression of the characters made me feel unpleasant. If they really wanted to show Mrs. Inmee's steel samurai watch dramatically, they would just have shown it briefly in sight, not by the upbeat ost of the samurai. Maya looked awfully bright immediately after the whole farewell scene, even if we consider the fact she didn't saw the half of the trial. For me who have to be absorbed by the situation, I felt suddenly distant from the whole case. There were plenty of other things that seemed wrong about it, but I can't quite put my finger on it. But still. I still enjoyed solving the séance. I mostly struggled in actual testimonies...... Maybe I should be a high priestess instead of a lawyer lol [link] [comments] |
