    Susato’s voice

    Posted: 29 Jan 2022 06:27 AM PST

Ace attorney has always had hit or miss english voice acting imo. But in the great Ace attorney I really feel like almost everyone hits their character so well. The best I feel, however, is Susato. Her voice actor frickin NAILS the mix between an English and Japanese accent. Hats off to her VA cause she did a wonderful job. It just boggles my mind how good she did and I wish we heard them speak more.

    Herrlock/Sherlock

    Posted: 29 Jan 2022 04:54 AM PST

So I finished the game last night, and now my going through the bonus features and videos. It's clear in Japanese that they call him Sherlock. If that's the case what jokes did the Japanese game have when referring to Herr Lock (Mr. Lock) that joke makes no sense of they kept three original name in the Japanese version of the game.

Moments/quotes that didn't seem significant at first but later were?

    Posted: 28 Jan 2022 03:53 PM PST

Sorry about the bad title but that's the best way I can describe it.

For example, the thing that made me think of this was in T&T when Godot doesn't notice the red blood on the white apron in 3-3, but then it ends up being significant in 3-5. It didn't seem like a big deal the first time it was mentioned but later it was.

So what are moments or quotes that you can think of from the series like this?

Why were there so many unused voice acted lines?

    Posted: 29 Jan 2022 07:46 AM PST

I just went through all the bonus features and there are so many lines not voiced in the game. The voice actors were really good too. The series could use more voice acting in general. I'd opt for everything is voiced, unless the line is repeated and skippable. I don't think anyone would want to here the start of several sentences that fast. Unrelated to voice acting but can we get a skip repeated text option without mashing the A button?

Does anyone else likes to check the ages of every new character they find?

This sort of makes me wish I could do that easily in real life as well lol.

Does anyone else like* to check - oops.

    Just finished Turnabout Reclaimed...

    Posted: 28 Jan 2022 10:07 AM PST

...what an amazing case. Granted, it's not as good as 5-5 imo, but it was a very enjoyable experience for DD. Overall, the plot was really good. The only objection I really have is...that it wasn't explained why Ora the First started singing while she head-butted Azura.. It felt like a major point that could have been elaborated, especially since Phoenix made a huge fuss on this issue and how Orla sang just like Ora did.

Regardless, as I said before, pretty solid chapter. Marlon Rimes, in spite of his over-the-top transformation, was a marvelous culprit, with a lust for revenge that not only made sense, but is also quite sympathetic: it makes his relentless efforts to get Orla killed (to the point of even concocting a rather elaborate plan to frame her and thus, get her put down) very understandable.

Anyway, just wanted to get this out of my chest. Also, Departure from Regret might be one of the best Reminiscence themes of all time. Btw, I'm officially starting TGAA today, wish me luck :)
