    Every time I see good ol’ Butz, I can’t help but think about a scene in The Big Lebowski... sent this meme to my boyfriend and I’m thankfully not alone.

    I finished PLvsAA (spoilers)

    Posted: 12 Mar 2021 02:30 PM PST

    Really dissapointed.
    I literally liked this game so much, but the last hours of the game were nightmarish.
    Phoenix is pretty much useless, he is just there so Layton, the main character of the game, could shine brighter, he literally guides Phoenix in every courtroom part of the game, except for the first one.
    Maya is even worse. Luke got his puzzle solving skills, an ability to speak to animals which is constantly used and Maya is just there. No magatama, no spirit stuff, she's just there to be accused at some point and then "die".
    The majority of puzzles is boring and each and every court part entirely consists of just pushing.
    The plot twist created a shit ton of plotholes, it would take an entire night to list them all. They didn't even try to address them.

    I mean, I still enjoyed a large portion of the game until it's became evident it's gonna flop...
    Well, at least they didn't forget to insert the ladder joke.

    Me and some friends are looking for cases to do online, and I'm drawing a blank on getting any ideas, we need one that's a lot more guided then free roam if possible, thats about the only criteria. If any of you know of a good case, please dont hesitate to post them!

    What if Phoenix Wright became a criminal? *Post-SoJ Spoilers*

    Posted: 12 Mar 2021 12:06 PM PST

    What if Phoenix Wright turned to a life of crime by committing murder, evidence forgery, blackmail, abuse, and an organization based on wide scope of illegal dealings across the legal world to make them worse of the worse? Resulting not only the deaths of those close to him, but also dozens if not dozens of people across the edges of the Earth.

    And if Wright is sent on trial and we're about to finger him as the true culprit, I imagine that Wright would forge evidence and use his bluffs to escape his accusations. Even when the evidence of his crimes incriminated are there just for him.

    About how the game treats main characters

    Posted: 12 Mar 2021 05:51 AM PST

    Ok, we get this. Main character being butt of a joke and prosecutor being able to do anything are one of the running gags among the series. But sometimes it stops being funny, and gets downright annoying. For example when judge says "i hope it's not one of your bluffs Mr. Wright". LIKE, FUCK YOU, YOU'VE SEEN YOURSELF HOW OFTEN THOSE BLUFFS HELPED TO REVEAL THE TRUE CULPRIT. Or when prosecutors broke EVERY, SINGLE, RULE of courtroom and nobody says a thing. Like, that made sense with Manfred von Karma, but then? Franziska using whip? Simon bringing a bird into the courtroom? That wasn't funny. That was idiotic, irritating, and asinine. And how arrogant those two were, even after getting their asses kicked by us the other day is just dumb. People tend to complain about Nahyuta, but looking back - he was one of the most respectful prosecutor's throughout the series. He at least respected Judge. And dont even get me started on judge. A one of the reasons why i like DGS is that Jigoku and British judge had a backspine, and weren't just a pushovers for prosecution
    And why nobody respects WAA crew. DUDE, THEY BROUGHT DOWN SOME OF THE MOST DANGEROUS MF OUT THERE, DON'T YOU WATCH TV OR WHAT?? And when it comes to Apollo, even Phoenix and Trucy dont respect him. Remember how grateful Trucy was after 6-2? Yeah. Can you imagine: AA:AJ2 is out, located in Khura'in....AND EVERYBODY STILL TREATS APOLLO LIKE CHILD. Yeah, who the fuck are you? Adoptive member of a royal family and guy who saved whole country from our crazyass queen? Never heard of you lol

    Cases which at first introduced some of the points used in latter cases' storytelling (or just introduced)

    Posted: 12 Mar 2021 11:20 AM PST

    Here's some rules: Protagonist has to solve the case personally for it to be on this list,so Celeste's suicide or Godot's poisoning doesn't count.

    The First Turnabout: The first case where witness is the killer;the first case with the cause of death being trauma from being hit with a blunt object;

    Turnabout Sisters: First case where detective is summoned to testify; first case where killer has an accomplice;

    Turnabout Samurai: First case where murder weapon and scene of the crime is tampered with; First case with cause of death being stab wound;first case with a murder committed in a self-defense;

    Turnabout Goodbyes: First case where victim was shot; first case where prosecutor is the killer;first case where a multiple of cases being solved; first case where proving killers guilt boils down to proving that he has a wound; first case where defendant is cross-examined gameplay wise; first case where killer impersonates someone (either victim or a defendant);

    Farewell,my Turnabout: First case where defendant is the culprit; first case where culprit uses an assassin.

    The Stolen Turnabout: The first case that has a not murder trial.

    Recipe for a Turnabout: First case where victim is poisoned;

    Bridge to the Turnabout:First case with multiple of prosecutors;

    Turnabout Trump: First case where protagonist's co-counsel is a killer;

    Turnabout Succession: First case where killer doesn't murder the victim directly — he uses some kind of trap or a mechanism to do that; First case where one criminal committed multitude of crimes;

    The Cosmic Turnabout: First case where the defendant is found not guilty without finding the true murderer;

    Turnabout for Tomorrow: The first case where detective is a murderer.

    Turnabout Reclaimed: First case where the killer...isn't actually...guilty of murdering the victim? I think so.

    The Rite For The Turnabout: First case where the victim has actually killed himself; First case where victim is brought back to life to testify via spirit channeling;

    Now DGS duology territory:

    The Adventure of the Clouded Kokoro: The first case with an attempted murder;first case with an accidental murder;

    The Resolve of the Ryuunosuke Naruhodou: First case where the judge is the killer.
