We all do the little character voices in our heads when we read the dialogue, right?

    I drew phoenix!

Her design works no matter the color, but why is Dark Maya fanart so popular?

    Posted: 10 Jan 2022 06:03 AM PST

I'm curious why so many artists decided to draw Maya Fey with a dark skin color. It's charming to see her so differently than how she looks like. She will always be a cute lil goober, no matter what her ethnicity is...

But I'm curious why they decided to make her specifically less traditionally East Asian (Japanese) and more Southeast Asian?

What side of the ladder/stepladder debate would you put characters on that don’t have an established canon opinion?

    Posted: 10 Jan 2022 11:05 AM PST

Currently we know Phoenix, Trucy, Athena, Kay, and Edgeworth Sr. call it a stepladder and that Maya, Ema, Gumshoe, Apollo, Edgeworth, and Badd call it a ladder (going off the wiki, I may have missed some). Which way would you say other characters argue that haven't stated their views yet? (Any of them, not limited to just defense attorneys, prosecutors, assistants and detectives)

Confusion about language (Adventures Ep2 spoilers)

    Posted: 10 Jan 2022 02:33 AM PST

In episode 1 of The Great Ace Attorney Adventures, Ryunosuke can't understand a word of what Jezaille Brett is saying. This episode takes place in late November. Then, in episode 2, which takes place in early January, he's speaking perfect English! Did I miss something? How did he learn the language so quickly?

Edit: Thank you all for explaining, now I hate Brett even more

What Tier For 5-3, Turnabout Academy?

    Posted: 10 Jan 2022 01:45 AM PST

Damn I just forgot the spoiler tag and the number of votes multiplied by 5,28...
I don't know if I should keep it so...
I never spoil anything, every spoil are in the comments I don't know what to do tell me if I should put the spoiler tag back (knowing that accuracy is multiplied without it...)

But today is time to go back to school (or just to be at school like me....) with Turnabout Academy!

    Posted: 10 Jan 2022 07:06 AM PST

So i was playing Apollo Justice for the first time, and i am on the case 2, and i can't progress. So when i was at the moment where i founded the side mirror on thrash, and then founded out that it was from the car that drove over Phoenix. But now when i try to meet Phoenix he isn't there, i have tried to present everything to every character and tried to look every place over, but i can't figure put what the heck i am suppose to do? And just to let you know, i am playing on 3DS

    Question about 4-1

    Posted: 10 Jan 2022 01:23 PM PST

I was thinking about 4-1 and I have 2 questions that probably don't have importance but I want to know if they were brought up or explained later.

First of all, Olga's first cross-examination. She claims that Wright strangled the victim to death, which Kristoph later explained that it was probably Wright taking off his pendant. First of all, why did Phoenix do that, and how did Olga mistake it for strangulation? Second of all, when did this happen? If I recall, she was later struck on the head by Shadi, and then was unconscious for the rest of the case, and I don't think the strangulation could have happened then. Are we supposed to think she was just lying or mistaken?

Second of all, Shadi himself. According to Phoenix, he was uncontrollable when he went upstairs to call the police. And then Shadi just ignored that Phoenix had left the scene and went to sit in a chair? Did he just get angry and then after he hit Olga he realized what he had done and regretted it?

Like I said, it's probably nothing, since there are a lot of cases in the series where a witness says something that doesn't make sense for them to say based on what actually happened, and most of the time it's just a minor detail meant to give you something to contradict, but I would like to know about this case specifically, if it was actually addressed later or if you're just not supposed to care and I'm thinking too much about it.

Why eas Rise from the Ashes Added to the DS Ports of Ace Attorney

    Posted: 09 Jan 2022 07:37 PM PST

The title says it all. If the case wasn't in the original release, why add it at the end of the first game's DS port?
