The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles sold approx. 300k, according to Capcom's updated franchise sales numbers.

    https://www.capcom.co.jp/ir/english/finance/salesdata.html

According to Capcom's recently updated franchise sales numbers, the Ace Attorney Series has sold about 8.6 million units over its 20-year run. That's +400k from the last update.

The Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney HD Trilogy Collection added +100k of that, so that's 300k between TGAAC and all of the other Ace Attorney games on 3DS/Mobile devices. I wouldn't doubt that TGAAC was the great majority of that remaining amount since it was a brand new release.

Not too shabby if those numbers are accurate.

What have you spoiled yourself on for any of the AA games? Whether it be on purpose or accidentally *SERIES SPOILERS*

    Posted: 03 Nov 2021 08:01 PM PDT

Someone talking about spoiling themselves in another thread got me curious on what people's experiences have been with spoilers.

For AA2 I accidentally found out Matt Engarde was the culprit. I thought he was cute so I searched up pics of him, and until then the culprit had never been the defendant so I didn't think anything of it. Well, you can guess what pops up if you search Matt Engarde on google images. This one is probably the only one I really wish I hadn't found out before.

For AJ >! I found out a lot of things about kristoph. Though tbh I barely cared about AJ's plot so this didn't bother me at all. !<

For TGAA, I've got 2 things I was spoiled on: 1. That Kazuma was alive and you end up facing him as a prosecutor. I had actually searched up Kazuma's status out of disbelief after playing 1-2. Figuring out he was a prosecutor happened after I looked at his image gallery on the wiki.

    1. That Gregson dies in the final case. Found this out while absentmindedly scrolling through YouTube comments on his theme song video. Honestly, was really sad when I read it since gregson is one of my favorite characters in TGAAC.

I don’t know if this was intentional or not…

So I was just looking at random characters from the series, and I looked at Bruto Cadaverni's name and his Granddaughters name, Viola. They look kind of like Brutal and Violent. I don't know if it's a pun or not though.

Anyone think SOJ played a bit TOO safe?

    Posted: 03 Nov 2021 09:15 AM PDT

Just finished it a few days ago, sadly, I think my excitement before playing wasn't hit in the way I wanted it to. There is no new gameplay(other than divination) and the story plays on a very safe side with not much happening, and even when something does happen, is brushed away quickly feeling like nothing is wrong. It tried too hard to act like the Trilogy, feeling nothing like AJ or DD. Confused because, on the first case it made us believe that flying over to Khurain was a hard feat(showing the scene with phoenix on the airplane etc.) But throughout the game they just fly over back and forth to America and back in seconds, like they own a teleporter or something. I heard it was because the planner didn't even try before venturing off of Capcom. I know this game is praised by many, and so do I!

But this was only my opinion, please do share your thoughts!

Would you be okay with anyone from the earlier established main cast being a victim in the next Ace Attorney game?

    Posted: 03 Nov 2021 06:29 AM PDT

With 'the earlier established main cast' I'm referring to characters like assistants, playable characters, prosecutors, etc. who all have been in at least one earlier Ace Attorney game.

Edit: Stop saying nobody would be sad if Wendy Oldbag died! I would be very sad!
