    Ryunosuke's "YES!" is so unintentionally hilarious

    Just playing through the first case and Ryunosuke's "YES!" is so inappropriate for most of the lines he is responding to, which is always making me laugh as it makes it sound like he is saying he committed the murder.

    "The accused shot the victim." "YES!"

    "I saw him pointing the gun at the victim!" "YES!"

    "That is conclusive testimony for his guilt." "YES!" "I mean no!"

    The translators did a great job, but they probably should have went with "WAIT!" or something like that. I'm not complaining though it's hilarious.

    So I just looked at it again today for fun and I'm ASTOUNDED. The game has a gigantic 89 as a score and is in the top 3 highest scored games of 2021 on switch! IT'S AMAZING I'M SO PROUD!

    Time to start up some discussions for the Chronicles episodes, now that many people have the games in their hands. These threads won't be daily like the past ones, because these are long games and everyone will be playing them at varying speeds, but we'll work through the cases over time all the same.

    People complaining about length of first case is TGAA never played anything other than AA1-AA3

    And it's not a bad thing! But they somehow must be reminded or informed if they don't already know the games were initially released on Game Boy Advance and it was 20 years ago. Since AA4 (released in 2008) first cases became way longer than an hour just because that's natural progress for a game in many aspects such as storytelling, gameplay, introducing new characters, graphics, etc. You cannot expect new game in the series being exactly the same as it was 20 years ago just because it's not 20 years ago, it's 2021. What's there to complain about really? That you had way more fun time playing it than you expected to have? Yes it it long but it's also great adventure not just simple tutorial trial. My only advice there is take your time and if you really think it's slow paced try Famicom Detective Club (released this year on Nintendo Switch) instead.

    I'm confused because I earned the "Defense Debut" accolade for beating the 1st case of Adventures, but I just completed the 2nd case and didn't get the "Crash Course Candidate" accolade. Does anyone know what the deal with that is? Apparently I need to complete the episode from it's "opening chapter".

    Edit: Got the achievement. I just can't use Story Mode during the case lol

    Has anyone played both the fan translation (localization) and the official translation (localization) of DGS? If so, how different are they? Name specific sentences if you can.

    I'm leaving for vacation on Friday morning and thought about picking up the new Ace Attorney game to play while on the way there and back.

    Is this reccomended? Or should I just hold off and start at the beginning when I get back?
