Posted: 23 Jul 2021 01:00 PM PDT So, we're just a few days out from the release of The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles, meaning I need to establish some ground rules for how spoilers for the duology will be handled in this community. Obviously a reasonable number of people in this community have already played through at least the first of the two games via the Scarlet Study fan translation patch or even the original Japanese. It's important to remember, however, that for the vast majority of Ace Attorney fans, these are two entirely new games they've never played and know very little if anything about. Consequently, we have two full games' worth of spoilers people are going to want to avoid, and so I will be imposing some updated rules regarding spoilers for TGAAC. You will be free to post about TGAAC and discuss characters, cases, storylines, and etc. all you like once the collection is out, but you absolutely must mark them as a spoiler and with a text flair indicating which games/cases the spoilers relate to therein. Additionally, there will be absolutely no tolerance for posts including TGAAC spoilers right in their titles. None. Any such post will be removed immediately and you will be issued a warning. A second offence will mean a temporary ban. I don't like the idea of throwing bans around, but people don't want to have games spoiled for them, and it already happens enough without there being two whole new games for which people have to worry about it. (That's it for the spoiler rules talk. If that's all you need to hear about, you can stop reading.) From here on, I want to make another announcement - with this community continuing to grow, and especially in the leadup to TGAAC, I want to bring on another moderator. Obviously it's just a volunteer position for you to consider if you care about this community and spend a lot of time in it. Those applying should be regulars in the community and have a feel for the kinds of discussion posts and other content that keep the sub active, as well as having a generous amount of free time to check in on the sub and make sure nothing unpleasant is going on. I'm not asking you to be parked at a computer refreshing the page all day long, but being able to check in several times a day at minimum is called for. If you have history as a Reddit moderator, that's excellent, but it's not something I'll be demanding. I had no experience as a mod before taking this position myself. A full understanding of the rules is obviously also important, as well as a clear understanding of the sort of decorum to use when speaking with authority as a mod in conversations on the sub. That's the kind of thing you can talk about with me once you've applied, if you're interested in the position. So, if anyone is interested in volunteering/applying for the position, send me a DM and we can talk about it. [link] [comments]

Posted: 23 Jul 2021 03:20 PM PDT It's honestly so annoying to me. They hate on him because he's racist towards the Japanese, but I think they forgot how Capcom (a Japanese company) MADE him that way. Also, being racist isn't his whole personality. My guess is they never played the 2nd game and learned more about his character. I mean, it was never released outside of Japan after all, but still. Also, a few of the other British characters treat the Japanese with disrespect, but apparently Twitter only focuses on Barok. Idk, this is Twitter, so I should've expected this. What is the most emotional Ace Attorney game? Posted: 23 Jul 2021 08:16 PM PDT Like the title says, what is the most emotional Ace Attorney game? Did it make you overjoyed? Disheartened? Or maybe angry (for better or for worse)? Whichever game made you feel the most emotions and most emotional. Make sure to mark case and game spoilers properly. Only includes the main series and investigations. Straw poll: http://www.strawpoll.me/45517237/r [link] [comments]

Anyone else think Ace Attorney devs should release an Olympics - themed case as DLC? Posted: 23 Jul 2021 08:40 PM PDT It'd obviously never happen, but I think it would be fun to see. Imagine Nick talking to suspects/witnesses, each of which is from a different country or plays a different sport. What do you think? [link] [comments]

Posted: 23 Jul 2021 11:55 AM PDT I'm currently using this plugin which blocks all thumbnails and spoiler words from anything I'd want. Of course, it is not a surefire way to avoid spoilers, so here are a few suggestions to enjoy the experience of playing the game to the fullest:

Should I buy the new Ace Attorney or just watch it Posted: 23 Jul 2021 05:39 PM PDT As I am sure you guys know The Great Ace Attorney is being released in the west and I was wondering if I should buy the game or just watch the cases online. I have never owned any of the games but I have watched most of the cases from the first 3 games and enjoyed them. IDK what should I do, buy the game or watch online. EDIT: I decided I will buy it [link] [comments]
