    As promised a week ago, Capcom's E3 presentation brought us a nice spotlight segment on The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles - the longest segment of any of the games they talked about, in fact! We got a second trailer, plus a video highlighting a couple of the duology's unique gameplay mechanics. Now that all of Capcom's fanfare is over, this thread will compile the hits.

    they just-- i relate them in so many ways and i will rant about it cause my friend doesn't want to answer me.

    the first thing i relate about Ema was her being a younger sibling. how much she clearly wants to help her sister but her sister doesn't want that help because of something personal and she doesn't want Ema involve in it even if that means getting a guilty verdict. her relationship with Lana reminds me of my relationship with my sibling. i keep on telling my sibling how much i hate them but after a couple minutes we start laughing about things and it was like we never fought.

    but unlike me and my sibling Ema finds out why Lana pushes her away and when she apologized her sister she needed to go to prison.

    another thing i relate to Ema was her love for science! how much she loves the subject and how she struggles with other subjects, (if u think she had difficulty with other subjects i respect u) like math! even tho science needs math but whatever!

    next is Kay! first is living without their father. like my father is still alive! but.. he's in another country and he left when i was pretty young and he's still there and yeah... i remember when he came back two years ago it felt weird but when i started getting used to him being there he had to go back to work. as i'm writing this i can smell the cologne he uses. but i also know what it's like to lose a family member. it sucks and it hurts but you have to move on for the better.

    another thing i relate to Kay is her promise notebook. it's so important to her cause it's from her father that's only thing she has from her father and little thief. like Kay i have two things from my father that's very important to me. it's my 3ds and the pokemon cards i got from him. the pokemon cards especially. i don't remember when we got it but i remember i would always lose to my sibling and i only won once because they forgot how to play.

    and another memory i have is getting this shiny pikachu card. i don't remember what happened to it but it's gone. and i can't play anymore cause when we got it back my sibling's deck is gone. they were so mad but we never found it. and whoever if you're reading this which is probably zero FUCK YOU.

    my 3ds on the other hand it was a gift for my sibling for their birthday, we always wanted one. i think we waited for nine years and we got Sun and Moon, the next game we want to get is PLvsPW cause i heard the women are pretty there and i want to meet them. sounds weird but i also want to hear Edgeworth's voice and Phoenix's voice!

    and now AA4 Ema.... her failing forensics. i remember feeling like a failure i went to the bathroom and cried and i had to eat dinner so like Micheal In The Bathroom i wet my face and went to dinner like it never happened when i saw Ema and read she failed this is before i re-watched RTFA i remember feeling sorry for her and when Apollo showed the fingerprint powder and seeing her be happy made me happy.

    and i remember after playing i needed to re-watched the trilogy i thought i was alright and i accidentally did it in the wrong order then the last one i watched was RTFA and i swear i accidentally remembered the intellectually attracted part word by word and the part when Ema talking to Angel at the crime scene (this part is para-phrased but i remember the last part) and her saying so you look like a lunch vendor and have lunch vendor things so you must be a lunch vendor! and Phoenix said to himself nice investigative analysis! not! and i was like PHOENIX NOO!!!!

    and when i think about Kay and how they would interact with the main cast i realized that i accidentally made Kay parallel Ema.(sorry for this part... i really need to share this with someone)

    Kay wanted to be a defense attorney but Kay was afraid that they might be given forged evidence and Kay also wants to trust their client but something deep down was telling them what if they will use you? Kay didn't want to be a prosecutor cause they wanted to be their own person and doesn't want people to think that the reason why they became a prosecutor was because their father was a prosecutor. so they decided to be a detective cause they can use little thief, they can look like a noir detective, and continue Badd's philosophy. (this is my interpretation sorry if it's sucky)

    sorry for making this i just need to rant this because i care them so much.

    EDIT:now i'm gonna rant even more about Kay paralleling Ema because i keep on thinking about it.

    so is Ema very miserable with her job right? Kay is the opposite they love their job a lot! but they don't like talking about how much they love their job in front of Ema cause they don't want her to be uncomfortable while talking to her but Ema doesn't mind at all.

    Ema likes talking shit about Klavier and bullying him with Kay, and Kay loves hearing about Ema talk about forensics because Kay loves seeing the passion in her eyes and Ema does the same when Kay talks about their cases.(i like to think Kay loves talking about their cases to people.)

    also! When Kay lost their memories it was like they lost themselves and when Ema failed the forensic's exam she couldn't act like her younger self cause she failed to reach her dream, it was like she lost herself because of it. and they both help the other in small ways with Ema doing forensics at the hidden floor, and Kay just trying to make Ema's day. (didja see what i did there?)

    Is there a way to play the fan translation on my 2DS? I know you can play on an emulator but I want to play it as if it's an official version. Does anyone know of a way to do this or am I better off just hoping for an official translated release?

    Just letting everyone know, since I don't think Nintendo or Capcom announced this sale.

    Edit: The Switch version of Trilogy is now listed in a summer Capcom sale on Nintendo's site. Sale goes until June 21st at 11:59pm PT. The 3DS sales aren't mentioned there, though.

    3DS

    • AA Trilogy (1 - 3) on 3DS is at 60% off
    • AA 4 is at 50% off
    • AA 5 is at 70% off
    • AA 6 is at 60% off

    Switch

    • AA Trilogy (1 - 3) on Switch is at 33% off

    Nintendo's site doesn't say when the sale is ending, but they're having an E3 sale lasting to the 21st, so I assume that may be the end date. But said E3 sale also says "up to 50% off" while these AA discounts are even deeper than that, so take it with a grain of salt.

    At time of writing, the 3DS eShop servers seem to be overloaded if you try to access from the console (at least, it won't let me in when I try). You might have an easier time buying from Nintendo's website instead.

    You know what I gotta say it. I recently played the Ace Attorney Trilogy on Switch. And as cool a character Godot is and his backstory and all that. His feelings towards Phoenix Wright makes him Acro 2. That is the vibe I got from him.

    To most this may seem like a no brainer, but the only reason why I'm asking is because I'm so used to the original cast of characters in the Phoenix Wright trilogies. I'm just wondering if I would feel as attached to this other cast of characters? Thanks!
