    This has probably been asked to death, but how come there hasn't been a new mainline game?

    So far we've gotten remasters of the original trilogy and ...potentially an english version of the great ace attorney. Nothing actually new. Do you guys think it's because the series has too many characters? They ran out of ideas? Fanbase too split up to want a single game? What do you guys think?

    What is the Saddest Bad Ending in AA?

    I have seen all the bad endings in AA (except 5-DLC's bad ending), and I wanted to see what people consider to be the saddest bad ending in the series. Of course, 2-4's bad ending is the most infamous, but I want to know if people find it the saddest.

    Not all bad endings are included due to the limit on the number of options. In case you do not know these bad endings, here is what happens in each bad ending.

    Don't Present That Cloth: Phoenix presents the cloth that contains Ema's handprint when first asked to present it. Edgeworth and the Judge conclude that Ema killed Neil Marshall, so she is accused of SL-9. Lana is convicted of killing Bruce Goodman, as well as her other crimes.

    The Miracle Never Happen: This ending happens if Phoenix presents the wrong evidence, presents it to the wrong person, or does the two in the wrong order. Matt Engarde is acquitted, and Phoenix walks away from the courtroom. Adrian Andrews is convicted in Engarde's stead, and Phoenix never sees Maya again. He is sure that de Killer released her, but he still never sees her. Some have theorized that Phoenix commits suicide, though this has never been confirmed.

    Hung Jury: This ending happens if Thalassa votes 'guilty.' Because a jury vote must be unanimous, the proceedings are suspended. While in the hospital, Vera dies of the poison, ending her trial inconclusively.

    Everyone is Dead/Gone: This is the first of Dual Destinies' three bad endings. This happens if your confidence gauge runs out while cross-examining Simon before his whirlwind of emotions. The verdict from UR-1 stays the same, so Simon is executed the next day. Aura and her hostages, including Trucy, vanish without a trace. Athena leaves the office (and possibly commits suicide), Apollo stops smiling, and Phoenix takes off his badge for good.

    Agency Divided: This happens if Apollo's confidence gauge runs out during the civil trial. Paul Atishon keeps the Founder's Orb, and the dream of revolution in Khura'in dies. The relationship between Apollo and Phoenix is never the same.

    Other SOJ Bad Endings: The murder trial has three bad endings. In the first, which happens if Apollo's confidence runs out after Dhurke is found dead, but before Amara and Nahyuta confess to the murder. Apollo says that they never got the truth out of Amara, Dhurke is convicted of the case from twenty-three years ago, and the truth is lost. In the second, which happens after Amara's confession, Amara is arrested. Again, Dhurke is found guilty of the case from twenty-three years ago. The third happens if Apollo fails to prove Ga'ran's guilt, Dhurke is acquitted of Inga's murder, but the truth behind his death and the case from twenty-three years ago remains unsolved. Apollo manages to survive the ordeal and joins the Defiant Dragons. There is an unofficial bad ending which ends with the "Game Over" screen, in which Nahyuta is convicted.

    Franziska's Character Development? JFA spoilers

    I was thinking about Justice for All the other day, and how Franziska's character was handled. It always felt really weird to me, because Edgeworth's character development in the first game was pretty drastic. He got over the winning-every-case thing, realized that he should work for the truth, and the whole stuff with DL6. Franziska's seemed much more uh. vague though?

    She had that whole conversation with Edgeworth in Farewell, My Turnabout, but has she actually changed much? She seemed to be a little bit less obsessed with the whole win record thing, but not as much, and it she's not really working to finding the truth at all, at least for now. It seems a little unclear what she has learned versus what she hasn't yet. Anybody else have any thoughts on this (for totally un-fanficcy reasons)?

    45 hours later and I finished the main line ace attorney franchise. The best 3ds entry, I loved all the cases and characters (minus case 4) and case 5 had me shocked the whole time. It’s more ace attorney, it’s the longest but I can’t complain. Also what is up with those Asinine Attorney

    I'm stuck on trial day one. I even looked at the walk though and apparently after i press angel starr on her statement about seeing lana on her phone i'm supposed to present her with the parking lot floor plans. i've done this three times and i've gotten a penalty each time! can someone please help me
