Tokyo Game Show (TGS) 2020 Info Recap Posted: 22 Sep 2020 08:58 PM PDT Apologies to everyone for making another thread with the same purpose as just a few days ago, but since we're only about two and-a-half days out from Capcom's TGS activities beginning, I want to organize all the information we currently have relating to possible Ace Attorney news into one cohesive thread, per any updates in the last few days. THE EVENT TGS runs over this coming weekend, on Saturday the 26th, and Sunday the 27th. However, Capcom will be streaming one additional event on Friday, at 6 AM Pacific. The official English Capcom TGS website offers the following description:
Note the "and more". The stream will be one hour long, but at present, there's no detailed information on what it will feature beyond those three specified titles. Following that, Capcom has streams for Saturday and Sunday. Check the linked image for the schedules, and note the "Additional Information" slots. Naturally, those spaces in the three days' streams are our openings for potential Ace Attorney news. SOCIAL MEDIA ICONS Many of you will already know of the promotional Social Media Icon Giveaway Capcom has been running on their TGS website all month. They've been slowly adding icons most days of the week as the month has progressed, with the icons representing various Capcom franchises and some of the newest games they've already revealed. One of the very first to be posted featured Phoenix. Maya is a recent additional as well. Note that both are using their character art from last year's original trilogy remasters, however, rather than anything new. Now, they've notably seemed to stop posting new icons as of the 18th. Even the Japanese site, which features a few icons not present on the English site, has stopped being updated. There are still 21 spaces open on the Japanese site, presumably to be filled later. A machine translation of the Japanese page suggests that the remaining icons may all be posted on the 26th and the 27th, the days of Capcom's main broadcasts. This next bit is entirely speculation on my part, but that may be because the upcoming icons relate to games that Capcom hasn't revealed yet, to be shown during their streams. All of the other icons present so far are tied to newly-announced releases, or feature artwork recycled from other existing Capcom releases, like the Ace Attorney or Mega Man ones. OTHER SMALL DETAILS Don't take this last section all that seriously, because it's all pretty loose, disconnected information that might not be relevant at all, but here are a few other notable recent developments:
And that's all we know, so far. This thread will most likely remain stickied until TGS, and will be updated if anything new occurs. Check back in periodically for discussion and updates. [link] [comments]

The Story Of How I compulsively bought AA (and am currently loving the hell outta it) Posted: 22 Sep 2020 09:29 AM PDT Alrighty, this post may be a bit short but this a fun story for me to talk about! My friend decided to make me play Attorney online so we could make meme cases.. which we did a lot of and had fun That is until I got a proper case and had it done, found a completely random group of strangers and had a case that lasted THREE HOURS! I was playing defence at the time. And the prosecutor was completely screwed. It ended up with the defendant being proven not guilty... however I began to piece some dots together The witness could have been the one to commit the crime and hoo boy, this is where the case got long. I had to continue to press the witness over and over and they kept changing their story Eventually, I did break them. Ending the trial and making a group of new friends in the process, it got me thinking... would I like the original 3 AA games as much? Hell yeah I am! [link] [comments]

I am not enjoying Justice For All so far Posted: 22 Sep 2020 11:37 PM PDT I bought the Ace Attorney trilogy on Nintendo Switch a few days ago, and the original game absolutely blew me away. The cases were full of intrigue, awesome twists and payoffs, and the characters were memorable with a fair but of zany humor too. After I finished the first game last night, I jumped straight into Justice For All, hungry for more and... I'm really disappointed so far. The characters' humor seems forced and out of place, just entirely over the top. I hate that Franziska whips everyone. The courtroom logic isn't making any sense. And this circus episode I'm in the middle of is nothing short of exhausting. I guess I'm just disappointed right now, but I'll keep pushing through. I miss the feel of the first game that things were somewhat grounded in reality, and I do really want to love this series. [link] [comments]
