Happy new decade! Now that it's 2020, only 6 Sherlock Holmes stories are still copyright in the U.S. and we now have a slightly greater chance of getting DGS1&2 localized!

    Posted: 31 Dec 2019 09:01 PM PST

Three of the remaining nine copy-written stories have just gone into public domain. By 2023 they'll all be public domain and Arthur Conan Doyle's estate won't have any say over the character's copyright status, and that could be enough time for us to see an HD remake of the games with an official localization. I just hope Disney doesn't screw up the copyright laws even more before 2023.

Who knows, maybe by the end of the 2020's we'll have DGS1&2 localized; Investigations 2 localized; Ace Attorney 7, 8, and maybe 9; DGS3 and Investigations 3 which were localized right away; and we get physical copies of all the games in the West and they aren't digital-only.

Ace Attorney Pursuit themes (Ranked Least Best to Best)

    Posted: 31 Dec 2019 11:06 PM PST

It was REALLY hard to rank them all because I love all of them sooo much!! I'm sorry if your favorite gets put lower than you want it or I have have one of your least favorites up high in my list, I just hope we all can respect that people have different opinions and I'm so excited to see what you people think!

    12. I'm sorry but something has to be the "worst." But it's not bad at all! Justice For All has a FIRE pursuit theme! I love how dramatic it is, and how the melody rises in pitch little by little to keep it dramatic. I think it's just a hair less dynamic as all the other pursuit themes and I'm literally measuring these by hairs. Maybe it's because I don't have too much to say about this theme either. It's just a good track!

    11. I've never played the crossover but I have heard the Cornered arrangement of it, because I'm rating all the themes, and it's really good! I mean it's obviously not better than the original in my opinion because that would mean the original would be #12. I really like the hi-hat work in this song. Strings are great! It's just a nice remake of cornered and that's all I have to say again! I guess I don't have a lot to say about the ones at the bottom.

    10. DGS fans please don't cancel me. The DGS2 Pursuit theme is an awesome theme and I love the percussion! And those strings! God when they go into those fast 16th note runs, I think they are, that sounds gorgeous! But I haven't played the games so maybe this placement is a little biased because I haven't fully experienced them in context. Really good theme nonetheless!

    9. Apollo Justice. This is another please don't cancel me moment. I get it, this theme slaps hard! But even tho it slaps I feel like it sounds out of place. Like it's too techno for my pursuit liking. But god this theme is a BOP! That bouncy bass and the super syncopated rhythms just makes it super hype and awesome to listen to. I wish you can watch me listen to all these songs in real life. I'm literally just singing along to them!

    8. To be honest, I didn't really like the DGS pursuit theme at first. I was too used to all the "modern" sounding ones. But then my view on it changed. This theme isn't modern at all! I don't know how long ago it takes place before ace attorney because I haven't played the games o my god just play them and don't sound like an idiot, but realizing that they aren't modern, it gave me a completely new look on this theme and I started to respect it a lot more.

    7. Yep we're getting into very personal territory. Dual Destinies is at 7!?!?! Alright alright calm down I'm using molecules to measure these now. This theme is AMAZING! It's fast and it's dramatic and it has CHIMES! Anything with chimes in ace attorney automatically earns my respect. And you can't forget that SICK electric guitar solo! O my god! I'm literally just realizing it right now that it put it at seven. But yes. As good as this theme is there are themes that are molecules better.

    6. Investigations. When I first heard Lying Coldly, I was shook. This theme took so many risks and they all worked out heavily in its favor! It sets itself really musically far from "normal" pursuit themes. This theme is fast paced, dramatic, and o my god is it classy. I literally can't listen to this song without punching the air on the musical "punches." Those glissandos up and down are like the most memorable parts of this theme. Also the key changes are so smooth and satisfying to listen to! This is just a headbanger of a theme.

    5. I've heard so many mixed opinions about this theme. Trials and Tribulations has a pursuit theme that I had people really like or really don't like. I personally really like it! It was so hard to put this over investigations but I guess I have more of an emotional connection to this theme. It's so dramatic and exciting and it's what a pursuit theme is all about! And it has chimes. It has CHIMES!!! if this theme was remade but in the style of dual destinies, I don't think this theme could be beat, but it was beat by four others.

    4. The original Pursuit theme. Cornered just holds up. It's iconic, dramatic, and it is so satisfying to hear in game. I actually don't know what else to say. This theme just stands.

    3. This song took me by absolute surprise. Even tho I haven't played the crossover, I cannot deny that Spell Breaker is an absolutely mind blowing theme. I don't know how I used to not appreciate it. But when I re-listened to all the themes again, this theme just blew me away. It's masterfully composed and it's just intense! It's kindof funny how both sides of the crossover are on different sides of my list. But Jesus this theme is a listen!

    2. Investigations 2 isn't a pursuit theme... it's a literally anime fight battle sequence theme. Or a god dang anime opening theme. Just slap some fake anime girl lyrics onto this theme and boom there you go. But seriously this theme is SO GOOD! it's soooo goood it's makes me wanna cryyyyy!! Just everything about this theme is perfect and it's exactly how a pursuit theme should sound and feel and make you feel and I'm literally at a loss for words trying to explain how good it is. I'm just gonna explain why it's not #1 which should be easier.

    1. Not gonna lie, this is Very biased. This game was my first completely blind ace attorney game except for this theme. When I heard this theme before I played the game, I didn't think much of it. But when I played the game, HOLY GOD THIS THEME IS THE MOST SATISFYING THING IVE EVER HEARD!! It's trying so hard to be Cornered and IT SUCCEEDS! I just love the electronic feel of it and the harmonies in the song are so good and the percussion and everything about this theme I love it and ITS JUST SO GOOOOOOOOOOOOOD!!

Umm I don't know what happened there but I hope you don't hate my list I worked really hard on it and I'm looking forward to hearing your favorites!

Concept: a new installment of the Investigations franchise

    Posted: 31 Dec 2019 12:00 PM PST

But instead of you only playing as Edgeworth, you play as Edgeworth in case 1, Franziska in case 2, Klavier in case 3, Blackquill in case 4, and Nahyuta in case 5.

All crimes that occur in different locations but are all connected at the top in some way.

The idea of all these prosecutors collaborating is really badass to me.
