Trying to figure out what Apollo’s bracelet is made of Posted: 01 Jan 2020 05:55 PM PST Just for fun recently I decided to just screw around with google searches to try and see if there were a real life material that acted in a way that would work like Apollo's bracelet. Keep in mind, don't take this as fact. I'm literally just a teenager with too much free time and google, so this is by no means super accurate or in depth. I know it's stated to be an alloy but I'm not an expert so I just looked for whatever could count really, and I did indeed find a match. The first thing I had to figure out was how body temperature was affected by lying, or in this case feeling anxious or stressed. Simply put, it slightly increases body temperature. This is weird though because it's stated to tighten around his wrist, and higher temperatures typically make objects expand. My first thought was that it could potentially be a shell with something inside. Something like a gold shell with mercury inside. As it got warmer the mercury would expand causing the bracelet to tighten. This doesn't make much sense though since it would probably just expand away from Apollo's arm, and the bracelet probably isn't large enough to actually do that. With my basic as hell understanding of chemistry I decided to just google if things could contract when heated, and that lead me to the Wikipedia article on something called negative thermal expansion (NTE), but this too had a problem. Quickly looking through all the substances that followed NTE only do so at specific temperatures. Specific temperatures that let's just say if your body temperature was that you wouldn't be alive anymore. However, there was one substance that followed NTE but by a different rule than the rest. Rubber was the substance, following NTE because of something called rubber elasticity. This is actually easily observed. Just take a rubber band and dip it into something hot and take photos before and after with some frame of reference for comparison. So in conclusion, my first achievement of the decade was scrolling through Wikipedia and dipping rubber bands in soup to prove a fictional character became a human lie detector by wearing a fancy rubber band for 2 decades straight. [Main series spoilers] The climax of each prosecutor’s character arc Posted: 01 Jan 2020 11:36 PM PST Edgeworth: standing across from a childhood friend who was determined to always seek out the truth, my goals as a prosecutor became to seek out the truth as well, and always make sure justice is served. Godot: I am not a prosecutor, but prosecuting was never my goal. My intention was to make Phoenix Wright's life a living hell for letting the woman I love die, and to seek revenge on the woman who took my life from me. Klavier: I've lived with the demons of seven years ago that my brother placed on my shoulders, but now, I release myself from the prison he kept me confined in. Blackquill: I've been wrongly imprisoned for seven years because of the actions of a phantom who forced my hand. I took the fall for my mentor's murder in order to protect a child who was very important to me, but in this time I never stopped searching for this phantom. Nahyuta: being held hostage by the royal family of Khura'in I've been forced to do their bidding to make sure my estranged sister and mother were kept safe, however my adopted brother made me see the light and become reacquainted our revolutionary father's ideals. Franziska: I got shot and then cried at the airport [link] [comments]

Posted: 01 Jan 2020 09:29 PM PST It's pretty well known that Gumshoe's salary is dangerously low, mostly due to Edgeworth committing salary cutting noises upon him, however, the game never specifies exactly what he's actually paid. How much do you think he actually makes? [link] [comments]
