    Seriously though, I could NOT believe at all how straight up depressing her story was in Turnabout Consequences.

    First, we found out that she purposefully ran away from Kurain just to protect Maya (she was still struggling whether to believe Morgan, her mother, or Maya, her cousin). She ran away because she was still afraid that she'd only cause trouble to Maya.

    Then, we also learn that right before the reunion which Maya did to bring her back, she tried to commit suicide, exactly for the same reason. To not cause trouble to Maya, again.

    And if that all wasn't enough, at the end, she's revealed to be the culprit who shot Maya and almost killed her.

    Honestly... I think that the creator, u/ropfa did a great job in that. I'm at a loss of words, this is a really shocking series of plot twists.

    Can we give Judge a shoutout for being consistently neutral and open?

    Imagine if our great ace attorney had to convince the judge against his bias, especially in a situation where you're a fresh new attorney pitted against a seasoned ace prosecutor. The judge never thought, "Well this new attorney has no idea what he's talking about, and obviously the prosecution must be right." Otherwise, our protagonist may never have the window needed to bungle their way into an argument in support of their defense.

    The fourth piece of evidence (spoiler for Justice For All ending)

    I just completed Justice For All, the final case. Von Karma withholds the final piece of evidence (the calling card of De Killer upon which Maya drew Phoenix's face). While it's mentioned at the end that she wants to give it to Phoenix when they meet next, it isn't clear as to why she keeps it with her in the first place. An out of universe reason can be that the writers wanted it as a potential callback opportunity but in universe I couldn't think of a reason as to why she did that.
