Top 30 Ace Attorney characters tierlist

Saw somebody post a top 20 characters tierlist, decided to try doing it myself. Then I also decided that having to choose between only 20 characters was evil, so I did 30 instead. These are ranked left to right also btw. Meaning that, yes, Dahlia is only my 28th favourite character in the franchise (she is still great tho).

Also, there might be some recency bias towards TGAA Chronicles, since I finished those games a week ago. Nevertheless, I still think TGAA Chronicles has the best cast of characters overall.

A totally not based ranking

I thought about something recently. Edgeworth is the "Exodia" of the Ace Attorney franchise. Whenever he is in a tierlist, he almost always automatically wins. Or, if he doesn't, he is damn close. He also makes everything better if he is in it.

A petty complaint about 2-4

The localized names for the action characters was soooo close. I get it, the Nickel Samurai is the successor to the Steel Samurai, but it's just not as catchy. Steel Samurai works so well because of the alliteration, but Nickel Samurai just doesn't sound good. Jammin' Ninja sounds just as bad, if not worse. I propose a simple solution: an adjective swap;

• Nickel Ninja (The alliteration flows just as well as the Steel Samurai does)

• Jammin' Samurai (This works almost twice as well, since it utilizes an alliterative rhyming scheme)

Yes, I'm completely aware that these names would make zero sense in respect to the context of the game, which is why this is a "petty" complaint. In the images, the ninja is the one with the guitar, and the samurai is the one made of nickel, and it would have been costly and time-consuming to edit those images in the localization. But one can dream lol.

I'm playing through the series for the first time, and I'm loving it! Well, parts of it. Other parts are infuriating, but the story more than makes up for those parts. I think you all know which parts I'm referring to.
