In the case of 15 year old Trucy, Phoenix. you are NOT the father

    Posted: 01 Jun 2021 10:46 PM PDT

Which case would you consider to be kinda underrated that's also one of your personal favorites in the series?

    Posted: 01 Jun 2021 04:47 PM PDT

I would have to go with Turnabout Corner from Apollo Justice. I like its wacky characters and silly setup as you get to know Trucy. And who could forget her infamous magic panties?

Why Does AA3's Main Plot Attract So Many Bad Takes?

    Posted: 01 Jun 2021 04:07 PM PDT

Seriously, can someone explain why, of all the games, AA3's main story (mainly 3-1, 3-4 and 3-5) attracts so many terrible opinions? It really sticks out to me how brutally so many people misinterpret the story or misrepresent the likes of Dahlia, Godot and Iris as characters, often in a desire to somehow construct some imaginary narrative (that is usually in support of the ships the game doesn't prop up). Stuff like "Godot intended to kill Pearl" (he wasn't) or "Phoenix wouldn't forgive Iris for lying to him" (he literally does) are stuff I see all the time, even though they fly in the face of the framing of the story and the basic facts.

Can someone explain why this happens so often?

How do you imagine Edgeworth if he lost his prosecutor's badge?

    Posted: 01 Jun 2021 05:41 PM PDT

We all saw the drastic change in Phoenix after losing his attorney's badge for 7 years and was wondering what Edgeworth would do in that situation. Would he simply pursue another profession and maybe even change his look like Phoenix?

I've just finished SoJ and Nahyuta is the absolute worst

    Posted: 01 Jun 2021 10:43 AM PDT

Like, seriously, fuck this guy. He's the most hypocritical person I've ever seen. "Oh, I'm pure and innocent, the Holy Mother and I are so merciful we want you to burn in the deepest pits of hell".

    >! He almost made Athena have a panic attack, he insults everyone, he didn't have any true arguments to the defense so he just said "hAhA yOu dUMb, I sMaRt, mE sMaSh, yOu tRaSh" all the time. Even Winston Payne, the tutorial guy, is at least a decent prosecutor. Nahyuta isn't a good person and most certainly not a good prosecutor. !<

And to make things even worse, this bastard had no character development at all. He gets defeated again and again and doesn't change at all, he still insults everyone, treats the defense like mindless monkeys and thinks he's people. Even in Turnabout Revolution he's just like: "Yeah, whatever, guess the defense isn't so putrid. And I guess you're a half-decent human being after all, Apollo. I was never wrong though, I'm a literal GOD".

In the original trilogy we had the absolute chad Edgeworth, Godot (need I say more?) and the whip queen Franziska.

In Apollo Justice, we had the rockstar Klavier Gavin and his banger of a theme.

In Dual Destinies we had THE badass samurai Simon Blackquill.

And then we have fucking Nahyuta.

Saying he's one of the worst characters of the whole franchise would be an understatement. Seems like a sad case of wasted potential to me.

    Yeah, fuck you.

What are the chances of a future Gyakuten Kenji Duology game?

    Posted: 01 Jun 2021 11:22 AM PDT

They're finally releasing the TGAA series in a Duology form. Are there any chances they could do the same with the Investigation series? After all they continue directly the events of the trilogy, so the people that played that one, might be interested.

Possible Reasons why I didn't like The Great Ace Attorney 1 as much as others.

    Posted: 01 Jun 2021 10:04 PM PDT

The characters were great, the music and visual aspects were phenomenal and the gameplay addition were interesting but the main story, I have some mixed feelings.

Reason #1- Historical Fiction is not my cup of tea. Completely subjective.

Reason #2- The Lag I'm aware that this is not ss fault but it could have hampered my enjoyment. I wish I knew that an earlier version of canary would run the game faster. I switched in DGS 2. I am considering replaying the switch release to see if my opinion would change.

Reason #3- The Defendants suck. I didn't care for rich boy, theif girl, and found cat guy annoying. The exception is best Boi naruhodo.

Reason #4- The "Final" Case was underwhelming. Not a bad case but obvious culprit with little character nor development, weird timing with the shooting, it just didn't feel that grand of a finale. I didn't care that much for the case besides the overarching mysteries this case sets up. Susato feeling useless felt weird considering how she gives evidence in case 1, and helped solve the mystery in case 2.

Reason #5- High Expectations (Similar GK2, everybody was saying that games were soooooo good. At least GK2 lived up to the hype. That being said, I understand why people love this game. It's a bresh of fresh air and it does have its dramatic moments. I personally didn't have that much strong feelings.

Reason #6- That one criticism. This may seem contradictory to above but someone criticized the game for having "weak case design", and that may have led me believe to someone expect that game was going to like that. But I still had hopes.

Reason #7- Weak Case Design Despite my biased view, I can definitely see how weak the murder mysteries are. While the characters and gameplay was great, and the main overarching story was interesting, the cases themselves were bleh.

The switch Ace Attorney Trilogy is a trap

    Posted: 01 Jun 2021 07:56 AM PDT

You first buy the game, then after completing it you are amazed by how good it is. You are hungry for more Ace Attorney, only to find out the trilogy is the only Ace Attorney game on switch. I know there's TGAAC coming out soon, but that's about it. Seriously, why wouldn't Capcom just release the other games for switch?
