Ace Attorney now has an official Instagram page

    Posted: 24 Apr 2021 10:22 PM PDT

Ace Attorney now has it's own Instagram page. It is officially separate from the main general Capcom page, putting it among the likes of other Capcom series like Monster Hunter, Resident Evil, Devil May Cry, and Street Fighter which also have their own instas. The page was @mentioned in the latest post from the Capcom page. Everyone who has an Instagram account should definitely follow the page to signify to Capcom the great interest and love we have for the franchise!

Here's a little preview of what a Pursuit in The Great Ace Attorney sounds like, a prelude if you will

Arguably the most important thing about TGAAC

    Posted: 24 Apr 2021 12:40 AM PDT

    Supporting it.

For those not aware, Ace Attorney was in a seriously risky spot back in the space of time from 2015 to 2017. DGS1 sold very poorly in Japan, SoJ only just sold enough worldwide to make a reasonable profit, and DGS2 utterly bombed. That could've been the end of it. With those three projects together failing to bring in any good sales results for Capcom, Ace Attorney could've died right then and there. If you ask me, the only real reason it didn't was that Capcom as a company happened to be going through some significant internal changes at the time, affecting how they handle their franchises. That gave us a second chance with the 2019 Trilogy remaster, with which Capcom seemed to want to try and expand Ace Attorney's audience. That gamble paid off tremendously, with the 2019 Trilogy becoming the best-selling title in the series' history, and the only one to surpass the one million sales mark.

So, with The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles coming around in a few months and giving the failed DGS subseries a second chance of its own? We need to do everything possible to support it both pre- and post-release. Introduce it to people - spread excited word-of-mouth like we as a community did with the 2019 Trilogy. Capcom has a long-standing habit of doing a terrible job with marketing for Ace Attorney, but the fan community came through in force with the Trilogy remaster, and I've every confidence we can do it again.

I can't overstate how important it is that we make TGAAC (and AA7, when that rolls around) a success. If we want a 4/5/6 remaster, or any more new games in the future, the current projects need to succeed. The series is in a better place now than it's been in many years, but we're not out of the woods yet.

Why did the first Ace Attorney game in the trilogy have more unique gameplay qualities?

    Posted: 24 Apr 2021 10:24 PM PDT

I've haven't played the first game in a long time but have played AA2 and AA3 recently. You couldn't move items around in 3D anymore, which means no more puzzles (like the vase puzzle), and the 3D animation for videos were never used again like how they did with the Blue Badger video evidence. I'm pretty sure they had more video evidence in AA2 & 3 but they were never presented in a video format but rather a still image in 2D. I know you could say story-wise it wouldn't make sense bc Ema wasn't Phoenix's assistant anymore, but couldn't they just make her keep the fingerprinting as the unique gameplay aspect she brought to the table, but still have Phoenix move 3D objects around and use them to solve puzzles for evidence? I'm not saying I didn't enjoy the later games, don't get me wrong, I like them a lot story-wise. But it just seems weird to me that they'd omit the more advanced gameplay for the later games. I know they added new elements as well with Phoenix's magatama, but it didn't feel new because all did was implement the same cross-examination gameplay into the investigations. Looking at the final product of the two games, It's understandable that if you wouldn't be okay with adding these changes. But it does make me wonder how much more engaging and exciting the gameplay would have been if it were included.

I really want to get this game physically and if I remember correctly, the Japanese version of the HD Trilogy had an English text option.

Was Lana Skye supposed to return in future entries?

    Posted: 24 Apr 2021 06:32 PM PDT

just replayed Rise from the Ashes, and it really seemed like they were building up Lana to come back in a future entry. Although Ema reappeared in several games and even Mike Meekins showed up a few times, they never had Lana come back. Was she originally planned to be in Apollo Justice but got cut out? Or maybe she would've come back if Shu Takumi made AA5?

Do you think a case could ever involve a victim being channeled and deciding not to press charges on the defendant accused of murder or the culprit who commited the murder?

Does anyone know if TGAAC includes the Asinine Attorney cases?

    Posted: 24 Apr 2021 01:37 PM PDT

I was just wondering, because DGS2 had some asinine attorney cases as pre order bonuses in Japan, and I would love to try them out, especially as one of them has you play as Asogi, which is royally awesome.

    Modding Dai Gyakuten Saiban?

    Posted: 24 Apr 2021 04:37 PM PDT

Can I mod only some dialogue of Dai Gyakuten Saiban? It's for a meme of mine, I want to change Sherlock's...or, Herlock's name! Idk it would be fun to do it for at least the second chapter...but I am really not good with programming nor modding so, is it easy? I know it's possible because of the translations, but I don't know how hard it is.
