There is something very cool that Godot say in 3-2 which i believe perfectly sum up his character

    Posted: 14 Mar 2021 02:31 PM PDT

"-To err is human forginess is divine. Humans aren't machines, they have souls, feelings. They live, die, love, hate!... And yes, they even make mistake!

-Eh hold on! it's not as pretty as that!

-Realy! what is it like then!?

    -...!

-Always chase down a riddle to its end. That's one of my rule."

Isn't it the perfect summary of 3-5 and Godot's character!? Even to having Godot pushing for the trial to continue in order to find the true culprit, even though the judge was ready to give his judgement right there! When i see stuff like that i don't understand how some can see him as a strait up by the book manipulative badguy, when it seems obvious to me, that, the writters want to present him as a somewhat sympathetic person, that has his heart in the right place, but because of his feelings of both hate for phoenix and love for Mia, has made some pretty huge mistake!

Why is Trials and Tribulations praised by so many to be best ace attorney game?

    Posted: 14 Mar 2021 10:42 PM PDT

Now don't get me wrong, I love the game, but the other games hold up just as well, and I'm wondering why so many consider it "best in the series"

Have You Ever Just Wanted to Shout “Mistrial”at the screen?

    Posted: 14 Mar 2021 06:35 PM PDT

I first tried to watch the Ace Attorney anime a few weeks after I learned about how muder trials actually work in America and my brain just got so frustrated with it that I had to put it down for bit (I know now that the injustice was intentional and a criticism of the Japanese legal system). Around 3 years later I got back into the show and this time I was able to just sit back and genuinely enjoy it despite the inaccuracies-well most of them anyway. Every now and then something so ballsy would happen like only letting the defense question the witness once that made me heated enough to try and put a semblance of some sort of equality back.

Even though the series is good have you ever felt that the same desire to scream "No that's wrong" before?

    Phoenix and step ladders

    Posted: 14 Mar 2021 07:30 PM PDT

So I'm playing through the Ace Attorney Trilogy on Switch for the first time atm. Only have the last case to go now, but there's this dumb little nagging thing I haven't worked out that I need to know if there's an answer to before I finish it. What's the significance of Phoenix correcting Maya about a ladder actually being a step ladder in every case she's his assistant?

Phoenix corrects pretty much everyone on minor details all the way through the series, which mirrors the attention to detail you need to have in order to play as him. There's also plenty of other threads that flow through the entire series from repeat characters, evidence, weapons, significant objects, etc. For the life of me though I can't figure out why specifically the step ladder correction keeps popping up, and if I'm missing a joke in there or a metaphor or symbology with it I'm not quite picking up on. Heeeeeelp!
