Should I Complete Rise From The Ashes?

    Posted: 03 Feb 2021 05:13 PM PST

I played the first game on a DS a few months ago, but I lost the game. I got the HD trilogy and didn't replay the first game. Should I go back and beat the first game again just for Rise From the Ashes, or should I just move on to Apollo Justice?

Does Ace Attorney have any replay value to you?

    Posted: 03 Feb 2021 06:57 AM PST

The games are graphic novels right? So you know everything what's going to happen in the story. With this in mind, does replaying the games do anything for you? With me it has replay value but only because I've played the games a long time ago so I don't quite remember all the things that happened in the games. How about you?

Something i've been wondering for quite sometime about ace attorney.

    Posted: 03 Feb 2021 02:42 PM PST

Why is phoenix in blue and miles in red? I understand it is the blue oni vs red oni trope, but what surprise me is that usualy those colors come with a few characteristics the blue oni is usualy the more cool headed and rational person while the red is more passionate person the one who more driven by his emotions.

    Look at a few exemple

In DMC dante is red tend to be very emotional prompt to take impulsive decision, vergil blue tend to be methodic ruthless and rational

In kill la kill the main character is in red is an hot head that blaze head first into ennemy territory while her rival is in blue and is a lot more calm and is plotting something during all the serie

Metak gear rising raiden is in blue is. Very analitical and try to keep his cool while jetstream sam is in red and is here to have fun mostly.

But in ace attorney this trope tend to be reverse i feel, phoenix is suppose to be the blue oni but i feel he is the more hot headed of the two falling head first into the traps of the prosecution... While miles who is suppose to be the red oni tend to be calm and all about analysis...

My current explanation for that trope reversal, is that the trait they describe are deeper than that. Indeed while on the surface phoenix can be hot headed if we look closely he tends to always maintain his cool whatever how grimm the situation become, like in 4 just after when he lost everything he directly took things in charge and build a case to find the true culprit. While on the other hand while edgeworth seems on the surface than being very analitical and methodic tend to take rash decision at time if we look closer like when he decide to confess a murder he didn't commites or when he become very emotional arround phoenix...

That's where my understanding is right now i wanted to share my thoughts with you, what do you think? Am i right? Am i looking to deep into things?

Why DGS 2's main antagonist feels more powerful than SoJ's one

    Posted: 03 Feb 2021 08:55 AM PST

Well, yeah,I can't deny that Ga'ran is more powerful than Hart in terms of power, but let's think differently.

Yes,Sigatar Khura'in can rewrite the law in fractions of seconds, but she is still a prosecutor. She can't just end the trial (though she hands down a Guilty verdict at some point, but it gets dismissed as fast Turnabout Goodbyes one).

But let's look at Vortex. He is a judge of the final trial. And what exactly is his power? He actually admits to all of his crimes at some point,but...what are you supposed to do with that? I mean,Hart has the whole authority over the trial — he can easily dismiss every objection or request, end the trial in any second, and after admitting to all of his machinations...what is he supposed to do? Arrest himself? No. He actually was about to end the trial just before Sherlock's second interference,so here's that.

Question about Turnabout Big Top (2-3)

    Posted: 03 Feb 2021 09:18 AM PST

Two, actually. When the Ringmaster arrives at the scene of the crime, how on earth did Acro know WHEN to drop the bust? Did he hear someone arrive? How could he know the exact moment the Ringmaster was slumped over, trying to lift the wooden box? I don't think he could hear footsteps from a third story, could he?

Second one. Towards the end of the case, you learn that Acro lowered the box to the ground with the help of a rope, correct? How did he remove the rope attached to the box? He used a rope as well to lift Max's bust after dropping it, but he left the box at the scene of the crime, and there wasn't any rope laying around. How could he "untie" the rope?
