Magic ways!⭐ + Now taking requests!

    Posted: 12 Feb 2021 10:21 AM PST

You know,I actually prefer Barok's and Nahyuta's scrolls to bland papers that Phoenix,Apollo,Miles and Ryuunosuke use.

So I was listening to "Reminiscence ~ Barok van Zieks" and thought, that each part of it describes each period of his past, and here's what I came up with.

Praise for Turnabout Corner's first trial

    Posted: 12 Feb 2021 08:53 PM PST

It's no secret that this trial is infamously remembered for "Wesley Stickler: Panty Thief" of a 15 year old girl's panties, but is that really the take away? After replaying the case again I noticed how many anime tropes were actually subverted with just this one side trial and how much it plays on the expectations of the characters.

First there's Trucy, the young girl who immediately asks a new and possibly untrustworthy young man she just met to find her panties. This immediately seems to set off cliches like the naive girl with no modesty in her behavior. However the context of the request sets in when we learn that the panties are really just a prop for her magic shows. There is no longer a sick perversion on a girl's naivete of the world, because honestly what does Trucy have to be ashamed for when it comes to discussing her "Magic Panties" as it's just another prop of hers.

And that context ties into the revelation of Wesley Stickler's actions that night. The game seems to be leading Stickler into this underwear obsessed creep but where he differs from the likes of Sal or Hotti is again in the context. A big thing has to do with the panties solely being a prop, which Stickler knows, and not like they were something Trucy actually wears subverting the usually perverted reason for panty-snatching. For example say Trucy instead did tricks with a "Magic Handbag" then Stickler's real obsession would lead him to be a purse snatcher. He doesn't care about what the prop itself looks like all he wants to know is how it works, i.e. the science behind it and nothing more. Ultimately leading to his justification and Trucy later forgiving him for his actions as she understands his passion for the truth.

So next time someone tries to paint this case as having a 15 year old girl nonchalantly pass off the actions of a panty obsessed creep, make sure the see how well the context between the characters and their actions were written to get around such implications and avoid follies like the writing in Turnabout Big Top where the context makes it much worse.

Idea for a new game: Ace Attorney Investigations: Luke Atmey

    Posted: 12 Feb 2021 05:58 AM PST

You play as a young Luke Atmey in the early days of his career, and have to solve cases just like AAI1 and 2. Also, instead of a "eureka" text bubble, it's "ZVARRI!"

Should I play The Great Ace Attorney games

I'm currently playing AJ:AA and once I finish the mainline + AAI games I was wondering if I should play TGAA? Are they as enjoyable as the rest of the series?
