    So, a little while back, I did a post calculating the "true" length of Spirit of Justice, that being the length of the game script in lines, rather than time it took to play, and then compared it to another game (in this case Apollo Justice) to see what the difference would be. The post got me some good response, but one thing left me curious.

    How long would the other games in the franchise be?

    So, this is an expansion of that post, detailing my calculated lengths of each Ace Attorney game. These are for, more or less, educational and discussion purpose, so I hope to see how people respond to them.

    Some notes:

    • These are based on the Slyzer YouTube playthrough videos of the DS/3DS releases, calculated via charting the amount of lines of the first cases, and using a general number of lines displayed per minute (represented through l in the top left of each chart).
    • All the line counts are rounded for ease of use, which is required least the numbers be downright impossible to list.
    • These don't account fully for minor time distortions which may or may not effect the numbers (such as the repeat use of the Guitars Serenade in Turnabout Serenade). Generally speaking, though, I don't think they're enough to make more than a slight difference in numbers, much of the speed comes from the game engines.

    Is it worth getting the switch trilogy if I have them on ds?

    I plan to binge the series which eventually means playing the 3ds games. I also plan to make it through the Layton series on ds. Im wondering if the consensus here is that the switch versions are way better? Ive seen the visuals, they look great mostly. The backgrounds look a bit too clean imo. In a weird way it looks simplified. How are the controls versus ds? I plan to play portable all the way through mind you. Is the osts remastered/remade? I know the music is gba, with probably more definition each time its rereleased. Plan to play with headphones, so keep that quality in mind. Are there any additions made in later releases? If you plan to go through the entire series, how would you personally do it?
