You know, in retrospect it’s kinda messed up that they kept Acro on the third floor after his accident.

What Reoccuring Theme or Trend Do You Think Should be Absent From AA7?

    Posted: 20 Dec 2020 08:34 PM PST

It could be anything that happens in almost every game, from a small thing to every first case being one trial like a big thing like every game (T&T excluded) introducing a new mechanic.

Bought the Trilogy on a whim for Black Friday and just finished the first game

    Posted: 20 Dec 2020 04:17 PM PST

I'm hooked! Loved the first game (mostly) and thought the ending (episode 4 that is) was fantastically done. Really looking forward to the other two, but man I gotta take a break after Rise From the Ashes. I looked around and get that many love it, and maybe this just because I'm new to the series and it was a later addition, but holy hell I hated so much about that episode.

The pacing felt way off, the characters felt so different from what I had seen in the first 4 episodes, the game felt way more tedious (fuck that stupid mini-game with the vase), and there were some minor errors that just made it feel weird compared to the others. For instance, Wright's inner monologue is supposed to be the blue text I believe, but there were multiple instances where he would have an "inner thought" that a character would then reply to. That's a minor thing but it just felt weird.

One of the biggest things, and again this is from someone who has only played the first game, I just really disliked Ema as a companion. She just seemed less interesting and more annoying than Maya.

I dunno, overall it just felt like a weird episode to throw onto the end of the game with how drastic everything changed and how convoluted the story got (seriously I still don't understand half the shit that went on). That said, the last ~30 minutes are engaging and the big reveal at the end is gripping, albeit still as confusing as everything else.

Is Rise From the Ashes a sample of what the later games play like, or is it more unique?

Is there a suicide case in any of the games?

    Posted: 20 Dec 2020 06:17 PM PST

As the title says, is there a case where the victim actually commits suicide? If there is, don't say what case, but say the game if you don't mind.

Opposite Day Opinions: Give An Opinion On Ace Attorney That You Would Normally 100% Disagree With.

Like just take one of your strongest opinions related to Ace Attorney and state the opposite.

No this is not an unpopular opinions post. You actually have to reverse your own opinion just for this post.

GhostRyuunosuke: "Capcom, I will give you $20 if you do this in AA7"

I just realized that Larry is in a way a villain in the trilogy...

    Posted: 20 Dec 2020 10:41 PM PST

He was the one who gave Mia "The Thinker", which she was struck down with, and that made Godot hate Phoenix. If Larry didn't give Mia "The Thinker" she would still be alive and "Bridge to the Turnabout" would never happen because Diego wouldn't have any motive. But these are just my thoughts. Of course Larry didn't kill Mia intentionally, but still...

Alright, I’ve done the three assistant polls, but what does this community actually want from AA7?

    Posted: 20 Dec 2020 10:19 PM PST

Not much to introduce here, so I will jump straight over to my opinions.

    1) Solo Athena Cykes game: because did anyone really expect me to say something else? Like, it's transparent from everything I post on this subreddit. But to go into the reasons: Athena is the only WAA character who doesn't have a real growing-up ark, she is constantly overshadowed by Apollo and Phoenix in the previous games, I genuinely believe Athena to be awesome and any excuse to hear more of Courtroom Eevolutionnaire is good excuse. 2) Phoenix-Athena game: Would sell better while still hopefully giving enough time to Athena. Hopefully. 3) Solo Apollo Justice game: just think it would be neat. 4) Any other kind of split attention game: Apollo is in Khura'in, the other members of the Agency are in Japanifornia. Sufficient to say, unless they change the structure of the games, this will have two arks, completely separate from each other, shoved into extremely limited playtime. Not the best idea. 5) Flashback game: I guess it could be good? Like, certain characters could use a backstory, and the seven-year gap (which would qualify as flashback) could be filled in?.. Still not entirely sold on it, though. 6) Flashforward game: that would make me irrationally mad, because that would mean Athena's out forever. Just... ugh. 7) Solo Phoenix game: Let him go and move on, Capcom, please. You're just retreading the same grounds. 20) No AA7

Because it's near Christmas time, I will be livestreaming my gameplay of Ace Attorney 1 (episodes 1-4 only) and I will try to finish the game before Christmas. It would be great for me if you watched my livestreams (and subscribed as well)!

What is the most bland and forgetful character in the franchise for you? (Predicting everyone saying "Lance Amano!".)

    Posted: 20 Dec 2020 09:31 AM PST

Mine is Lana Skye. I literally can only remember her if she brought up in the conversation, and still all I'll remember at first will be "Oh,she is that defendant from Rise From The Ashes, yeah?".
