    Favorite "DL-6 Incident" Case? *Spoilers*

    Posted: 30 Mar 2020 08:33 PM PDT

I really like how the 3DS games use the "DL-6" trope over and over again, especially when it comes to one of our favorite lawyers in the Wright Anything Agency. People complain it being the heart of the drama when it comes to a "DL-6" case, but get sick of it anyway. It's not like we're going back in ancient history and solve some kind of war that never broke out or anything which ruined one the Wright Anything Agency's family members and then made everyone's lives dirt in the end.

But for those who are curious enough, a "DL-6 Incident" case is a case in the series that marks the starting point for a lawyer, especially one in the Wright Anything Agency, to begin their career as a lawyer and find the evil villain that caused that event to happen as a result of that villain's actions. Such as Manfred Von Karma, Ga'ran Sigatar Khura'in, and the Phantom.

    Examples are:

The "DL-6 Incident" itself. Not much about this except that it created the whole series and why Phoenix Wright became the "Turnabout Terror" we know today. Completely self-contained thanks to Investigations 2.

The "Assassination Attempt of Amara Sigatar Khura'in". Apollo's father was murdered inside by Ga'ran and she needed Amara to channel spirits to hold her title as Queen because back then, the monarchy needed spiritual powers under Her Holiness to be accepted. Ga'ran doesn't. But I do feel that it needs more work on it though. And this sets off to why Apollo is a lawyer in his unofficial trilogy as he descended into law thanks to Dhurke and his admiration for Phoenix Wright. I really hope they can do this more and introduce Ga'ran's catalyst villain. Just like DL-6, give Apollo and Nahyuta their own Bansai Ichiyanagi/Blaise Debeste, Capcom!

The "UR-1 Incident". Athena Cykes Mom is murdered and Simon Blackquill frames himself to save Athena. She was convinced throughout the years, just like Edgeworth, that she killed her own parent. And decided to save Blackquill under her PTSD as a lawyer. This was the framework that Athena becomes an attorney and fans desperately want a game starring as her to give solid improvement to her character the way they want it. The chances for it are I don't know, but it would be cool if we dig in it more about her mother and the rest of her life fleshed out if Capcom chooses it. Even though fans see her character arc ended and just want her to be an assistant instead, but as I said, fans want the former instead of the latter more.

Which one of these cases was your favorite? And why?

    The Modern Ace Attorney Themes...

More of a comment than a question, but does anyone think it's weird that the new games (being Dual Destinies & SoJ) only use Objection 2004 and not the original? I love 2004, but the original is so iconic.

So, I'm done with the main storyline in SOJ but I've got a question...

    Posted: 30 Mar 2020 02:46 PM PDT

So can Nahyuta just like, control jewelry? He uses his beads to squeeze people, and he manipulates Apollo's bracelet. Is he a metal bender? If that's the case, does his magic floaty cloth have wire edges so he makes it float?

Is any of this given any explanation? ._.
