A retrospective on my favorite character in the series Posted: 18 Oct 2019 08:40 PM PDT Godot, man. Freaking Godot. When he first showed up I really didn't know what to think of him. We had so little background on the guy, and just purely based on the way he looks he was just a total enigma. Obviously I kinda just memed him in my head what with the spawning of the coffee and the goofy-ass saxophone theme song, and all in all he just seemed like a very fun loving character despite how much of a dick he was to Phoenix. Then Episode 4 came along and I very quickly figured out the story behind the dude. The very end of the chapter when he tells Mia "The only time a lawyer can cry is when it's all over," that really hit me hard, especially with him breaking the mug and bloodying himself. Then finally the Episode 5 in the last portion of the trial, after Dahlia Hawthorne is exorcised (fucking bitch), the bomb drops. I still remember how I reacted when Maya said she saw three red lights the moment Elise was killed, and Phoenix telling the bailiff to turn the lights off, just to pan over to Godot with his face lit up by his three-bulbed mask, collected as ever, realizing he was about to be found out. It was such a trip when this happened, because by this point, I didn't even think about Godot being involved in anything in this capacity, in my eyes he was still just this enigma who didn't seem alllll that significant to the overarching story. But once the lights went off, I discovered how incredible this character's arc was. How much he cared for Mia and her sister, being poisoned by Dahlia and missing five years of his life, only to find out Mia had died...it's so hard not to feel for the guy. He really did go to hell and back. Even the way they played the same saxophone theme song, but this time making it feel so much heavier than it ever was completely made this scene for me. Godot reminds me a lot of Snape from Harry Potter. He seems like a complete douche on the surface, and he has absolutely done wrong, but in the end all he wanted was the best for someone he cared about, even though it never seemed like he was capable of any sort of care. Godot's story hit me harder than anything has hit me in a long time, and seeing his arc play out is something I wish I could experience for the first time again. [link] [comments]

The Imprisoned Turnabout thoughts (breifly) Posted: 18 Oct 2019 01:53 PM PDT New format this time with likes, OKs/Mehs, and dislikes, Likes: Uncle Ray (More like Daddy Ray) Regina and Frank Sebastián Debeste (as a character) The motive of the murder The cuteness overload (b/c of the animal) The murder mystery wasn't too predictable until the very end. At least is wasn't for me. The ending (semi spoiled about a baking competition that may or may not be related to main series timeline. Oof) Ok/Mehs: Justine Courtney (I was spoiled about the (considered) biggest moment AAI2 so I can see where this is going. But even then, i don't think would have been hard to guess where this storyline was heading considering how many times she keeps on warning us about miles edgeworths badge every 5 seconds.) other than that, she ain't that interesting All the characters not mentioned except for a certain someone. Platitudes about not giving up for a defense attorney. It's not interesting in of itself but with miles edgeworth, it is. The Main prosecutor and the main defense attorney doing nothing and their assistants do all the work. Murder mystery Dislikes: Lack of Sebastián contributing to anything big Dr what I remember. Simon Keyes (he's barely apart of it and doesn't really have much of a personality or an interesting one) The idea of a circus being involved in a prison murder just felt way too wacky or forced. [DD Spoilers] Just finished 5-DLC and am still a little confused... Posted: 18 Oct 2019 04:16 PM PDT If Sasha knew there were two orcas, why did she never tell Phoenix until he figured it out in court? Her whole motivation for wanting to perform with Orla despite her heart condition was to prove Orla was harmless. But she knew it was Ora who was put down. The moment that Orla was blamed for the incident a year ago, Sasha should have told Phoenix. There was no reason for her to hold back that information. So why didn't Sasha say anything at all? Does anyone else kind of miss Juniper Woods? Posted: 18 Oct 2019 09:03 PM PDT So, I've been thinking about characters that could return to the franchise (gasp No?! Really?!) and especially since I believe Athena should get a more central role (fite me). And I also really like Simon Blackquill, who was also in DD. Then I realized... what ever happened to Athena's friend Juniper? This probably sounds random to some people, but I'm genuinely asking... what if Juniper comes back for maybe a cameo. Or become more involved for an Athena-centered case? [link] [comments]

Posted: 18 Oct 2019 04:40 AM PDT I've wanted to create a fangame for AA ever since I first heard about it. This might seem like a dumb idea, but I figured I might make one starring Sebastian Debeste, since I just fell in love with him after I finished AAI2. There's not a lot of fangames out there for AA that I know of, and I definitely haven't come across any containing Sebastian, so I was thinking I'd fix that issue. But first, I have a couple questions. First of all, having him as the main character in my game would require me to have all three main voice clips for him, but he only ever uses the Objection clip. I know he was voiced by SonicShadows in the fan translation of AAI2, but I dunno how I'd go about contacting him about this, and even if I did, I'd just feel really creepy doing it. So if anyone is super confident in their Sebby impression, that'd be really helpful! (And if you somehow know SonicShadows personally, I guess you can tell him about this?? I dunno) Second of all, would anyone actually be interested in playing such a game? I know my game wouldn't suddenly become ridiculously popular and be known throughout the community or whatever, but I'm just curious as to whether it'd be a better idea to share it with lots of people or just with the people who already know about it and will be involved in it. That sounds weird, but I'm just nervous that it'll look like I'm begging for attention if I post it somewhere super public. I really hope it's okay for me to ask about this here. It'll take me a really long time to finish this game no matter what, but I'd love to get started as soon as I can. I only have a few loose ideas so far, so if you have any ideas of your own, you can suggest them to me if you like. Thank you so much, guys! [link] [comments]
