    What to play after Trials & Tribulations?

    So, I just finished T&T, and I have to say, it was absolutely amazing, favorite game in the series so far. I have one question now though, what game do I play next?

    There's either Apollo Justice, or the Investigation games. Edgeworth is my favorite character so I'm really interested in playing as him, and I've heard Gumshoe disappears after the trilogy & Investigations so I wanna see more of him, but I'm also interested in the new cast of characters, and I've also heard a lot of people say playing Apollo Justice first is better.

    Which game should I play next?

    Why exactly did L'Belle kill the alderman? If he had drugged the two of them already then all he had to do was enter the Forbidden Chamber, take the gold ingot, and leave, right? Or am I missing something?
