Who is the character that you wanted to last more in the elimination contest?

    Posted: 23 Nov 2021 11:15 AM PST

    The title. Anything is welcome.

For me, Adrian Andrews. She had a long run, but she is easily in my top 10 characters of Ace Attorney, maybe top 5 once I get a better rankdown. Spoilers for 2-4 ahead:

Adrian is, easily, the best character in Farewell, My Turnabout. Edgeworth doesn't count because he is not a case-exclusive character (though Andrews has a cameo), but the blond manager plays a superb role in 2-4. Engarde and DeKiller were cool, but Adrian was the central character that made 2-4 awesome, since she is the one that makes the moral dilemma actually feel like...you know, a dilemma. It's hard to not save Maya and simply let Shelly kill her, but it's also absurdly hard to let someone innocent take the fall for selfish reasons.

However, Farewell, my Turnabout goes for the extra mile of making Adrian incredibly complex. At first, she seems like a cool and composed manager that is always calm, and then, after you break her psyche-locks, it turns out that she's a deeply damaged person. Your client seemed to be nice and Andrews seemed to be condescending at first, but then, after Matt's reveal, the roles are swapped in a masterfully done way. It was the perfect way of asking Phoenix: "Are you sure Maya's life is so worth it?". Mia doesn't approve Wright's methods, Wright knew that what he was doing was wrong, and now he is letting an innocent woman take the fall for a narcissistic scumbag that got Corrida killed for his "refreshing as the spring breeze" image. Even though Andrews isn't 100% innocent for framing Engarde due to revenge on the latter (since, you know, he pushed Celeste to suicide in a stupid rivalry), she is easily sympathetic enough to make Phoenix, and thus, the player feel like an injustice is happening.

I could go on and on about Adrian, but I guess you already got the gist of it lol. Regardless, who was the one that got the boot way too early in your opinion? Any contributions are welcome :D

Both Cases and Chronicles characters were absurdly even in the last poll so, lighting round with just those 2. Decide the next elimination contest.

If Orla Shipley had been a part of the character elimination contest, how long would you have wanted her to last?

    Posted: 23 Nov 2021 06:20 PM PST

For me, she's my fifteenth favorite modern era character, so I would've wanted her to be on for a while.

    PLvsPW:AA references

    Posted: 23 Nov 2021 12:47 PM PST

Does anyone have a list of PLvsPW:AA references to their own games ? I know Phoenix sometimes refers to things from AA such as how the parrot's testimony in Maya's trial gives him a feeling of deja-vu (whichs refers to Yani Yogi's parrot in 1-4) or even Godot (even though I didn't come accross this reference yet). So is there a list of all the references the characters make to their own game ? I assume Layton might make some references to his own series too.

The Phantom is most likely inspired by a french novel anti-hero named "Fantômas" (spoilers for DD)

    Posted: 23 Nov 2021 06:35 AM PST

So there's this series of Novels, films and comics in france called "Fantômas" and it tells the story of a third who uses the faces of different people as masks to hide his identity, does that remind you of someone? :D

Where to see the length and case arrangements of each game?

    Posted: 23 Nov 2021 07:32 AM PST

I would like to know where I can find a list of every game's cases and how they are arranged, for example: case 3-5 goes
    Day 1: investigations
    Day 1: trial
    Day 2: investigations
    Day2: trial
    Day 3: investigations
    Day 3: trial
    And last about 8h etc...

Introducing Ace Engine - Your New Case Maker

Introducing Ace Engine - Your New Case Maker

It took over 3 months to put everything together combined with all the time i spent recoding, editing and more this project is already almost a year old and it now finally available to the public.

Introducing Ace Engine - The first HTML Case Maker!

    ShipmasterKyle's (me) Ace Engine.

With Ace Engine, anyone can make a fan project with ease! No need to learn complex code and since its completely online your fan game can be played from almost any device!

    How does it work?

Its actually pretty easy. Its powered by Scratch, a coding site that uses blocks instead of complex lines of code. Using Scratch, I created the systems an normal Ace Attorney game would need and then made them into a customizable form that anyone could pick up.

So how do I get started?

There are two methods of loading the engine. The first is using Scratch. I made a tutorial on how to do it here although do be aware that this method has various limits on how long your text can be. Alternatively you could load the project on Turbowarp which is recommended.. The Engine can be acquired on scratch and turbowarp.

For the best experience use the ScratchAddons extension (Scratch Only) and use these settings (import them from the project settings.)

The engine is fully documented. You can view it in the readme.md sprite.

Confused about the ending of Apollo Justice: Ace attorney.

    Posted: 22 Nov 2021 08:33 PM PST

Everyone that has completed the game mentioned in the title knows that at the end of the game, you are given the option to choose the veredict of Vera Misham, with the "Guilty" being the bad ending and "Not guilty" being the good ending. Now, my question is the following: Why even give the choice?
My point is that if you were paying attention to the game, it's obvious what option is the correct one, so it's basically the game asking you "Hey, do you want to win or lose the game?".
If someone could give me an explanation I'll appreciate it, Thanks
