What level of Voice acting would you rather see in future AA games?

    Posted: 16 Sep 2021 01:32 PM PDT

Completionist Voice acting: Every single line spoken by characters gets voice acting, this includes bad ending/bad choice text, flavor text while examining evidence, and optional dialogue with characters during investigations when you present evidence to them. it even includes the dialogue you get when you present your Attorney badge!

Full Voice acting: Every line important to the plot gets voiced. This includes talking to characters in investigations, entirety of Courtroom debates, Witness testimonies, and Culprit breakdowns

Partial Voice acting: The voice acting is more limited. Only plot important moments (prologues, twists, reveals, introductions and Allegro/Presto testimonies) get voiced along with Culprit breakdowns. This also includes voicing it when witnesses shout "Objection" or "Hold it"

Minimal Voice acting: Barely a step up from the classic voice acting. Culprit breakdowns and Characters shouting things like "Objection" and "Hold it" are voiced

Classic Voice Acting: Exactly what it says. Voice acting is limited to Lawyers shouting things like "Objection" and "Hold it" and Case prologues. Keeping it in line with past AA games

Is there someone like me who prefers the post-Trilogy games over the OG Trilogy?

    Posted: 17 Sep 2021 12:16 AM PDT

To be honest, I really don't care about OG Trilogy that much. I just prefer everything after that.

I don't think the OG Trilogy is bad at all. Like yeah, I personally put AA1 and JFA at the bottom but that doesn't mean those games are bad. And I even think T&T is the best mainline game. But despite what i think about T&T. I still don't care about it. I tried to replay it again, but I still didn't care......

Idea I've had for a cool AU fangame of sorts

    Posted: 16 Sep 2021 04:41 PM PDT

So I've been thinking about a fangame where Maya after the events of the first game decides to follow in her sisters footsteps and become a lawyer and ends up helping phoenix defend someone or maybe even taking his place for some reason. It's just a thought I've had floating around in my head like the dvd screensaver so if it's dumb sorry for that

Turnabout goodbyes is the best final case. Better than bridge to the turnabout, better than resolve of ryunosuke naruhodo, better than Farewell my turnabout, absolutely the best one imo. I wanted to see if anyone feels the same so it's why I made a post.

If you could give anyone in the series a voice, who would you have play them?

    Posted: 16 Sep 2021 03:22 PM PDT

I know Gina is meant to have a cockney accent, not scottish, but i'm a filthy american and can't tell the difference so i tend to read her dialogue in EileMonty's Scottish Trainer voice (Warning, Language!). Sometimes my mind slips into Nia from Xenoblade 2 (Warning, some spoilers!) as well, even though that's apparently Welsh?

Stronghart I feel would have been played well by Richard Epcar, who was Xehanort in Kingdom Hearts. No idea if the guy can do a British accent though.

Finally, I feel like Keith Silverstein (from a looooot of stuff, though the first roles that come to mind for me personally are Saber from Fire Emblem and Mondo Owada from Danganronpa) would be a pretty great Godot.

What do you think would be the Revisualization revelations in Pre DD games?

    Posted: 16 Sep 2021 02:07 PM PDT

Dual Destinies gave us revisualization in which Phoenix and Co look back at the case as it currently stands to try and make sense of it. This usually ends in a big revelation which turns the case on its head and starts the momentum towards the win. Whether you like it or not, I think Revisualization is a fun and dramatic way to illustrate this process.

So as a fun exercise I thought I'd take a stab at what could be the revisualization revelation of each case before Dual Destinies

The First Turnabout: "The Thinker clock is 9 hours fast"

-This is how you are meant to reconcile the time difference

    Turnabout Sisters: N/A

-Given the structure of the case as it stands now, there isn't really a big revelation moment in the courtroom. The big moment of this case is when you find out by flipping the receipt over that the light stand was bought the day before the murder, but that happens during a recess.

Turnabout Samurai: "The Steel Samurai was the victim"

-The prosecution's case hinges on the fact that everyone assumes that Powers was in the costume when the security picture was taken. However, since you now have proven that Hammer was in the costume, the Steel Samurai's movements must now be re-evaluated.

Turnabout Goodbyes(Hammond case): "Edgeworth and the murderer were on the boat"

-The seclusion of the boat and the assumption that Hammond was on the boat is the crux of why it seems that only Edgeworth could have committed the crime. However if the true culprit was on the boat with Edgeworth, then it calls into question the purpose of the bullets fired.

Turnabout Goodbyes(DL-6): "The bullet is still in Von Karma"

-This one is pretty straightforward. There were two shots fired, but only one bullet found. Where could the second bullet be found where nobody would think to look?

    Rise from the Ashes: N/A

-This is another case where I feel like the structure of the case doesn't fit with the style of Revisualization. You already have the decisive evidence, but the focus of the case is finding a way to present it without breaking the Evidence of Law and protecting Ema.

    The Lost Turnabout: N/A

-The amnesia and general straightforwardness of this case I feel don't lend well to Revisualization

Reunion, and Turnabout: "Ini Miney is actually Mimi Miney"

-Another pretty straightforward one. This is the only way to reconcile the Ini's testimony with the facts as you know them at that points

Turnabout Big Top: "Moe saw the bust instead of Max"

-This is the revelation that definitely proves that Max was not present at the scene of the crime. Additionally if the bust was the murder weapon, then that means it had to have been dropped from a high distance....like Acro's room!

    Farewell, my Turnabout: N/A

-Similarly to Rise from the Ashes you have all you need to win the case, its just the circumstances that prevent you from acting with it.

Turnabout Memories: "Dahlia wanted to kill Phoenix"

-This revelation explains her actions while dating Phoenix and motive for stealing the poison from Swallow.

The Stolen Turnabout: "Atmey is the true culprit"

-This is what the entire case is based on. Once you realize this, there's just the matter of proving it.

Recipe for Turnabout: "A fake murder was acted out"

-By realizing this, you must now reevaluate most of the evidence that implicated Maggey to begin with.

Turnabout Beginnings: "Melissa Foster is Dahlia Hawthorne"

-You have proven the "witness" is definitely connected to the exchange that occurred between Valerie and Fawles

Bridge to the Turnabout: "The killer didn't notice the bloody writing"

-While I would say that the reveal that Maya was channeling Dahlia was way cooler on an emotional level, the fact that the killer didn't notice the bloody writing is more relevant to the case at hand.

Turnabout Trump: "Kristoph couldn't have seen the crime from the window"

-If it was impossible for Kristoph to see the crime from outside the scene of the crime, then where the heck was he?

Turnabout Corner: "Trucy's Panties prevented the car from running"

-The final nail in the coffin for this case feels fitting for a Revisualization revelation.

Turnabout Serenade: "The shooting took place in the second act"

-If the shooting occurred in the second act a certain someone suddenly loses their alibi and a new suspect emerges.

Turnabout Succession: "The poison was on the stamp"

-By establishing the way Kristoph could have committed the crime, you are able to throw suspicion back onto him and begin the assault on what his motive was.
