    Who is your favorite character(s) from The Great Ace Attorney games?

    I just finished both games in the The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles earlier this week, and they have become my favorite two game in the series! Besides the story and gameplay, something I really liked was the cast of characters. That being said, who is your favorite character(s) from the two games and why? Are there any characters you didn't like?

    Here are mine (spoiler alert):

    Kazuma Asogi - He is a total bro. He is the kind of friend you can depend on, except maybe when you're facing against him in a trial lol. Not only is he an awesome friend, but also, I really liked how the character was written. The plot twist where you find out his backstory and his real reasons for coming to Britain made me appreciate Kazuma even more.

    Herlock Sholmes - This guy is hilarious. Even his name is really funny. He may seem like a goofy, incompetent idiot detective, but he always manages to pull through and save the day. The scenes involving him doing something stupid always gave me a good laugh. The end of the last episode of the second game made me realize how awesome this character is.

    There are many other characters I'd love to talk about, but I want to hear your opinions!

    What is the worst running gag in the AA series?

    For me, it's Franziska's whip, Gumshoe being mistreated for no reason, lawyers being treated as comedic punching bags, Hotti's existence, and the white-knighting for Dahlia in Trials and Tribulations, and Trucy forcing unwilling lawyers to be her test subjects for her life-threatening magic tricks because "funny" (only in SoJ, anyway).

    I know this isn't technically a running gag, but it's still pretty bad; in Turnabout Academy, when Phoenix and Athena investigate Professor Courte's dead body, you pick up her planner, and Athena insists you shouldn't look at it since her planner is more of her "diary", even though the planner could be an important piece of evidence in the case. But to her, not reading other people's secrets is more important. This nonsense continued in TGAA when Susato warned Ryunosuke not to look inside Kazuma's journal. At least Ryunosuke knew that that kind of logic was pretty dumb since it could prove useful to the investigation.

    Everyone hates Hotti for being a pervert and a creepy stalker, but isn't Oldbag just the same? She's constantly stalking Edgeworth -a man 50 years younger than her-, and that's 99% of her personality. I think she's almost as bad as Hotti, as she at least isn't a pedophile (not that we know...)

    Great Ace Attorney is I think my overall favorite of the entire series. Some missed Sholmesian opportunities for sure, but overall just fantastic.

    But my favorite? Lord Van Zieks. He slowly grew on me. His smoldering eyes. His insane fashion sense. Your hair looks sexy when it's pushed back. But then I realized what Capcom had actually accomplished: they made me fall in love with a racist vamp-kid tsundere.

    [SPOILERS] I didn't like the dynamic between Ryunnosuke and Iris in DGS-5

    It seems like writers dumbed Ryunnosuke down just to make Iris look smarter. He constantly forgets or overlooks the most obvious things only to be reminded of them by Iris. I mean, I still like Iris very much but that was very forced and unnatural.

    (examples: he forgot that he can compare two photos (with misplaced music box) until she told him; he forgot that Mason's last name was Milverton until she told him; he forgot about Graydon and Gregson whispering to each other during one of cross-examinations... and so on).
