Posted: 02 Aug 2021 08:29 PM PDT He is fucking magnificent. I'm still investigating the first day of the ship case. This new Deduction mechanic is exceptional, ridiculous, and fun as all hell. Coming off the amazing case that was Bridge to the Turnabout after picking back up the trilogy to finish, I somehow had some doubts about how good The Great Attorney Chronicles would be, but holy crap is this game really good! That is all. Edit: So I just finished this case on the boat and.... What a horrible outcome for the victim. I actually shed a tear at the circumstances that came to fruition (I'm still being vague here to avoid any accidental clicking). R.I.P. to a very well respected individual. [link] [comments]

Best method to pry information out of a witness? Posted: 02 Aug 2021 07:00 PM PDT Magatama is Phoenix Wright's special ability first appeared in Justice For All. Using Magatama given by Maya, and charged by Pearls, he can determine if the witness is hiding answers from his question and to what extent, represented as Psyche-Locks. Phoenix then present...an evidence to begin the "unlocking process." Logic Chess is Miles Edgeworth's special ability in Investigations 2 (which isn't officially localized, but fan translations are available). In summary, get them to talk using proper timing of words. A battle of wits represented as chess pieces. Perceive is Apollo Justice's special ability using his bracelet inherited from his mother. His bracelet tightens whenever a witness is lying with a twitch. Then, Apollo have to focus intently, and find that twitch. Mood Matrix is Athena Cykes' special ability using her Widget. A psychology-based approach, which has two variations: Theatre of Logic and Deduction was briefly teased in announce trailer, and is Herlock Sholmes' special ability. He assisted by Ryunosuke Naruhodo. Divided into two parts:

Posted: 02 Aug 2021 05:48 AM PDT He's easily one of the best prosecutors in the entire series. His design is great, his dialogue witty, his theme magnificent. Though he is a bit of an alcoholic, drinking so much wine that he smacks his Wellington on the table, that only makes him more interesting and endearing to me. Similar to Edgeworth, he's shown to have some compassion and sense of justice beyond just winning the verdict as shown throughout both games. Never does he have to stoop to trickery or empty threats. Most of his counters to Naruhoudo's arguments are just his cold logic, making him much more legitimate than most of the prosecutors in the series that throw fits or are sore losers. But the thing I like most about him is that he doesn't put up or take anyone's BS, whether it be the court, the Yard, witnesses, jurors, Naruhoudo's wild arguments or the government. He's easily one of the most aggressive prosecutors, which is why I like him so much. So yeah, this is my short tribute to Van Zieks. [link] [comments]
Posted: 02 Aug 2021 04:53 PM PDT Hi guys! Spoilers for Herlock's deduction segments in TGAA 1 ahead! I haven't played TGAA 2 yet, so no spoilers for that please! I've been thinking about Herlock's deductions and the Arthur Conan Doyle stories they reference: TGAA 1-2 references the story The Speckled Band, a locked room mystery in which a snake is used to commit murder (it even slithers into the room by way of a bell-cord). TGAA 1-3 has no Herlock involvement. TGAA 1-5 references The Red-Headed League, a story in which a criminal takes a job at a pawn shop (with a red-headed proprietor, just like Mr Windibank) intending to dig an underground tunnel to a nearby bank. The game even makes mention of the clacking sound a walking cane makes, which Sherlock uses in the original story for his deductions. It's been so much fun figuring out these parallels as I play, but I can't figure out which Holmes story TGAA 1-4 references! If you recall, Herlock deduces that the Garridebs are keeping a lion in their apartment, which wreaks so much havoc that they eventually sell it to the circus. Googling Sherlock cases that include lions just leads me to the Lion's Mane (which isn't about an actual lion) and The Veiled Lodger (there is a circus lion, but no other similarities, unless there are details in the story that Wikipedia doesn't mention). Can anyone help me with this? [link] [comments]
Some thoughts on GAA2-3 [SPOILERS] Posted: 03 Aug 2021 12:21 AM PDT I just finished Case 3 of Resolve yesterday, and I have to say it was one of my favourites. It contributed nicely to the overarching story of the game (at least, from what I can tell - I don't think the story of the Professor and 10 years ago is done with, especially given the revelation at the very end) while still remaining a good standalone mystery. It was such a good conundrum to start with - did the impossible machine work? And once you know it couldn't have, it becomes more complicated - how could evidence show that the victim was in both places? What kind of weird switch-aroo took place, and when? Eventually the answer is pretty simple - the evidence of the forensic report shows that the victim somehow teleported, but that's impossible, so the forensic report must be a lie. I absolutely loved the characters introduced, especially Courtney Sithe, whose theme may be my favourite of any in the series. I was so excited everytime we got to talk to her because I knew I'd get to hear her song again! Those opening strings are just wonderful. And the end of the case - we actually feel closer to Van Zieks than ever, and as we suspected, Kazuma is still alive, albeit...different. The revelation that the Professor is his father makes the overarching mysteries even stronger, especially when it comes to the mysterious list from the end of Adventures. I can't wait to play the last two cases and see just how everything ties together. So far Resolve is shaping up to be a brilliant game and one of my favourites indeed. [link] [comments]
Stuff You Would’ve Loved to See in Previous Games Posted: 02 Aug 2021 05:55 PM PDT What are some things you would've loved to have seen in the games? One that would've been funny and epic is Blackquill versus Ga'ran. Imagine if he came along because Athena insisted and he immediately started shouting SILENCE whenever Ga'ran started on her dictator stuff and she shouted back SUCH INSOLENCE with neither of them backing down. Posted: 02 Aug 2021 11:36 PM PDT Just say whatever are the common takes you see on the series which genuinely baffle you as to how on earth people somehow think them, be they from ignoring stuff blatantly in the text or making really wild assumptions. Say whatever you want, I won't mind. [link] [comments]

Made up a little headcanon about Miego Posted: 02 Aug 2021 10:45 AM PDT Remember Mia's poster in the Wright&Co office? The one that was later replaced by Maya with Steel Samurai? Phoenix suggested that was some old romantic movie which made Mia cry So I like to think this was the movie Mia and Diego watched when they visited the cinema together for the first time And there's more: Godot's theme, The Fragrance of Dark Coffee, is actually an OST from this very film. This jazzy music suits romcom very well. Also looking at it that way, it clearly can be seen that Diego was indeed moved by Mia, his role in the stoty is closely tied with his feelings towards Fey. It's evident that this melody exists in-game, if you remember Godot's ringtone [link] [comments]
