Regarding the Tokyo Game Show (TGS)

    Posted: 18 Sep 2020 11:59 AM PDT

So, we're about a week out from the Tokyo Game Show, which is, as always, our best chance at seeing a new Ace Attorney game reveal. To summarize what we know so far:

    • On Capcom's TGS webpage for this year, they have a collection of commemorative social media icons available for download. These icons are updated on every weekday, and one of the very first ones added featured Phoenix, using his character art from last year's Phoenix Wright Trilogy remasters. They've since added Maya, as well. Don't take these icons as any guarantee that we're getting a new game announcement, of course -- the webpage indicates that the icons represent both new games to be shown at TGS and "popular Capcom titles". But hey, worst case scenario, that still means that they're acknowledging Ace Attorney as one of their more successful franchises. I don't see any Dead Rising icons, and I'm pretty sure that series nearly always sold more copies than Ace Attorney.

    • Capcom Japan just launched a 3DS eShop sale on all of the Ace Attorney games available there (except for the Layton crossover), which also happened right around when Spirit of Justice was first revealed. Of course, this could also be related to the fact that Nintendo just announced the end of the 3DS's production lifespan one day later, so don't jump the gun just yet.

    • As for Capcom's TGS event itself, our best bet is the CAPCOM Special Program, which will be streamed a week from this posting, on Friday, Sept. 25th. I don't think there's any information on how long that stream will be, but the info currently provided for it indicates that it will feature announcements for the new Resident Evil, the new Monster Hunter, and more. That "more" is, of course, what we'll be looking for once the stream begins. I'm sure I'll have a really fun time getting up to watch it, seeing as it begins at 6 AM in my timezone. Should any Ace Attorney announcements be made, I'll be sure to have them posted on this subreddit as soon as possible.

    • Beyond that, Capcom will be streaming on the two following days, and between those two streams, they've got roughly one hour of "additional information". I'll be keeping an eye on those streams, as well.

Post any questions or other information you might have to report in this thread.

Am I the only one who thought that Godot was Larry at first?

We never saw them at the same place during that case and they both just happened to make their game 3 debut there. And their profiles are right next to each other. Plus they both got that chin hair. I just couldn't figure out why Larry had a problem with Phoenix

We really enjoyed having some of you join us last week, so thank you to those of you who came over last week! While over, feel free to ask us some legal questions, we'll use what little legal knowledge we have to critique the game for its accuracy. We'll be streaming from 6:30 PM to 12:00 AM PST.

Another survey, eh? Well this time it's for ranking the characters from AA1...

Just like the case survey, rank them on a scale of 0 (worst) through 10 (best). I'm going to do these for every game execpt Professor Layton and the Great ace attorney.

I can't seem to find an edit of AA prosecutors

    Posted: 18 Sep 2020 09:53 AM PDT

Its on YouTube and matched to the beat of this I think the title is something along the lines of "When you prosecute" .There is also a similar edit made for defense attorneys possibly by the same editor but can't seem to find that one either.
