"Grape Juice" in Spirit of Justice?

    Posted: 13 Jun 2020 06:35 PM PDT

I found this dialogue on twitter regarding "grape juice" in Spirit of Justice. The whole "no, it's really just grape juice in the original Japanese too" has been a point of discussion for years in the fandom--nearly everyone has to be told after playing Apollo Justice that it wasn't censorship, but it looks like in Spirit of Justice they're walking it back and implying that it was alcohol after all. This would be a retcon, because different writers/directors, but honestly the implication that Phoenix was an alcoholic single father is more than a little worrying.

Unpopular Opinions Thread Cuz Tradition Calls for it

I love this geometric design! The only weird thing is that Edgeworth also has an attorney’s badge which (spoilers) only makes sense if it’s t&t.

Something i am wondering about Godot

    Posted: 14 Jun 2020 12:17 AM PDT

I see a lot of people saying that Godot is a Bad person because he leaves pearl getting the letter from her mother, basicly being responsible for the whole mess in the end of trial and tribulations.

But at least that's not how i understood it when playing, for me Preal had already resived the lettre from her mother, and that was the actual problem that lead to the plan they've created to protect pearl and Maya in 3-5. And Godot just Heard of it because he Heard conversation between Dahlia and morgan?

Why do you think he could have stop the letter from reaching Pearl?

    Some People Call Me Laurice...

    Posted: 13 Jun 2020 11:52 PM PDT

Ever notice how Nick calls Larry "Laurice," but Edgeworth isn't having any of it? According to the court record they both consider him a friend, so it says a lot about how they both view their friendships

The way I see it, there are multiple trilogies, but all of them mix into another.

    Posted: 13 Jun 2020 06:25 AM PDT

So, I see there being three trilogies. Phoenix has one, Apollo has one, and Miles has one. Each of them showing their story.

Phoenix even has a duology. The trilogy is AA, JFA, and T&T. This follows his journey to becoming a grade-A ace attorney. Then the duology is AJ and DD, where we see Phoenix hit rock bottom, and DD being his recovery.

Apollo's trilogy is AJ, DD, and SoJ. AJ being his start, DD being the middle where he has matured as an attorney to the point where he can guide Athena through a trial. SoJ is the final step in Apollo's journey, staying in Khura'In and becoming the Wright of that country, even making his own law office. Apollo's story concluded very nicely.

Then Miles. This one's also obvious. AA and then both Investigations games. AA began his growth as a prosecutor, while the Investigations games set that growth in stone(and also made Miles my favorite character). This all lead to him now being Chief Prosecutor.

So, what do you all think about this? Any thoughts? I'd love to have a mature conversation about this.

(AAI-5 spoilers) This was always a very memorable and great line to me. It comes at a time of passion, and because this series uses profanity very sparingly.
