I don’t really like this, but have a happy Maya :)

It’s been a very long time coming but I finished investigations 1. I loved the game, definitely in my top 3 favorite AA games so far. Investigating was fun, the logic system was perfect, and the characters were amazing, especially Yew, Badd, and Lang. Can not wait to play the sequel!

Why is there so much ...unnecessary Iris discussion?

    Posted: 15 Jun 2020 04:06 PM PDT

I say unnecessary for lack of a better word, but I feel like every single day theres always a "Thoughts on Iris?" post or either her being overrated or underrated. Not even Godot who is supposedly such a divisive character gets that much discussion.

I don't understand why is she called "wasted potential" either. Like, yeah she was a plot device, so what? She had her role to set up the Dahlia mystery and she filled it well. Nothing more of her was required. On that note, why are people asking for her to be brought back? She brings absolutely nothing to the table. I can see maybe a throwaway line to see how is she doing but that's it, and god knows modern AA doesn't need to add more characters to it's already overcrowded main cast.

I don't mean to turn this into yet another Iris discussion post, I just want to know what exactly is about her that makes her get discussed this much. I don't particularly care for her myself but damn let this girl catch a break lol

    Any controversial ships?

    Posted: 15 Jun 2020 05:01 PM PDT

Anyone else support ships other than the usual popular ones (e.g. Phoenix & Edgeworth)?

    Here's a few of mine:

    • Phoenix & Apollo
    • Edgeworth & Godot
    • Gumshoe & Mia
    • Maya & Franziska

I think I have to say goodbye to my copy of PLvsAA

    Posted: 15 Jun 2020 02:05 PM PDT

The game card isn't being read by my 2DS at all. The system's not the problem, cuz all of my other 3DS games can still be read.

I tried the Q-tip with rubbing alcohol trick, and repeatedly inserting and removing the game card. I don't know what else to do.

What I would like Ace Attorney 7 to be...

    Posted: 15 Jun 2020 06:50 AM PDT

I've been wondering what the next game in the series could be. Naturally, it would be on the Switch. (and maybe on other platforms), and those platforms are much stronger than the 3DS, so I think they could fit a lot more cases in there.

So I was thinking, how about a mini-trilogy of sorts? Kinda like a route for the 3 lawyers.

Each lawyer has 5 cases to handle. It's as if each got a game of their own. Also, I would like it if each of them got a Guilty verdict like in Engarde's case.

    • Phoenix's route: Nick would handle cases in which his old friends and rivals encounter each other once again. Let's call this one the "Nostalgia Trip". His co-counsel would be either Maya or Athena, or sometimes he's on his own. Gumshoe would be the detective assigned to his cases, and he would face against old prosecutors like Franziska, Klavier or Blackquill. (Maybe Godot if possible). I'd also like it if Kay Faraday was one of Phoenix's clients.
    • Apollo's route: Since Polly decided to stay behind on Khura'in, all his cases will involve him facing against Nahyuta (and maybe one case involving Klavier). Divination Séances will be his to handle. And Ema would be the assigned detective. He would also have Khura'inese lawyers as his co-counsels who take him as their teacher. Eventually, once he finds a group of suitable lawyers to take care of the office, he leaves Khura'in to return back home.
    • Athena's route: Thena barely got any cases on her own to handle in the span of two games, so it's about time she got her own bunch of cases to handle. The detective assigned could be either Gumshoe, Ema or a new one. Something I would love to see is Mia's return, so maybe Athena could have either Maya or Pearl as co-counsel channeling Mia and giving advice to Athena (just for one case). The prosecutors she would face could be Blackquill or some of Phoenix's rival prosecutors. And since some cases would take place at the same time the boss is busy with another case, why not throw in the Canadian judge in some cases?
    • Finally, after the player solves all cases: The final 16th case unlocks. A three-day case with Edgeworth as prosecutor, and for each day, each attorney will handle the case. First Athena, then Apollo, who comes back home, and lastly Phoenix. It's gotta be an intense case, so I wonder what Capcom would come up with.

So that's my ideas for AA7. And I think this game could be called: "Ace Attorney: Chronicles".

What do you think? If you got any question, press me for details saying "Hold It!". Or if you you got a problem, raise an "Objection!".

    LGBTQIA+ characters speculation

    Posted: 15 Jun 2020 10:50 PM PDT

These are the characters in Ace Attorney that I think identify as LGBTQIA+:

    • Phoenix is bi
    • Miles is gay
    • Apollo is bicurious
    • Franziska is a lesbian
    • Simon is asexual

    What do you think? 🏳️‍🌈

Things you want to be retconned in Ace Attorney *All Games Spoilers*

    Posted: 15 Jun 2020 10:38 PM PDT

What things in Ace Attorney do you want retconned and why?

    Mine would be:
-Jove Justice and Apollo's origin from being in Khura'in. It never gets tacked on since the drama of Revolution is focused about the Khura'inese royal family. But nothing on Apollo's side of things. Due to some disliking the idea of his origin and him being the true protagonist.

-Honestly, if you want to go further. Delete Khura'in. Really. That's about it. Just have Maya come back to the office and everything will be happy.

-The Judge gets replaced by his younger brother. He does make some cameos.

-The Phantom's origin revealed this time. Because Spirit of Justice called it quits back in Dual Destinies.

-And more of Athena's story and stuff revealed by Wright and new characters related to her approaching.

    What are yours and why?

If you were a member of the peanut gallery (audience) in the courtroom...

    Posted: 15 Jun 2020 08:08 AM PDT

Which trial would be most fun to watch and why? This could be any specific case in the games or maybe you would just want to watch a specific prosecutor/lawyer at work.

Edit: As for me, I think watching Nick cross-examining a parrot would be hilarious. That would be a pretty good moment. The whole DL-6 case was interesting too. I think case 2 in Justice for All would be cool to watch as well. I can't help but be curious about the spirit channeling process. Also, in general, it would be super satisfying to watch Nick dunk on an insufferable witness/culprit.
