Every Original Trilogy Case From Worst to Best

    Posted: 01 Jun 2020 09:18 PM PDT

This is MY opinion, it's fine if you disagree.

    1. The Lost Turnabout

This case does not please me. I mean, it has one good thing, Maggey but other than that it drags way too long for a first case, is uninteresting, The culpirit is laughably bad, imo this is the only bad AA case from this trilogy.

    1. Rise From The Ashes

I don't hate this one, I actually like it but I feel like most cases outclass it. The beggining drags and is boring, I don't like many of the characters/find them uninteresting, the twist was pretty good but I just felt underwhelmed. 1-4 is the true final case from the first game.

    1. Recipe for Turnabout

Again, I like this one. I don't really have an explanation why, it's just a fun case imo. Also Furio Tigre's song slaps. It just feels kind of underwhelming, not as much as RFTA did. Because 1-4 was one of the best AA cases ever while 3-2 was just really good.

    1. Turnabout Big Top

Can someone explain why this one is hated so much? Yeah, it might have not the most interesting characters, and the way the victim died was dumb, but for me it just felt like an enjoyable, solid case. I also liked Moe (just like most human being do). I do want to slap that bitch Regina in the fucking face however after re-thinking some shit.

    1. Turnabout Memories

Great concept, decent execution. I still liked it, and it was enjoyable but for a case where you'll were gonna play as your dead chief, it felt underwhelming. It still was a very enjoyable case on the first time, but looking back at it, it wasn't all that great.

    1. Turnabout Sisters

Really good case. Mediocre villain and way too simplistic investigations hold it back from greatness.

    1. The First Turnabout

Great introductory case. Maybe a little too simplistic. Just like this mini review.

    1. The Stolen Turnabout

Really good case. Mediocre villain and uninteresting settings hold it back from true greatness.

    1. Turnabout Samurai

I love this one. I don't get the hate in the slightest. I like every single character, every single setting, every single twist. Bad first impressions made me harder to appreciate it.

    1. Reunion, and Turnabout

First thing, idc for the victim. He seemed like an asshole and was uninteresting. But, this case introduces Pearl, which is great, the Pshyche-Locks which made the investigations way better imo, I really didn't expect Mimi/Ini to be the culpirit, and the twist was so fucking good. This will not be the last time you defend Maya. (it will be on this trilogy tho)

    1. Turnabout Begginnings

Depression, the case. The ending is heartbreaking, Dahlia's an evil bitch, you get to see Extra-Ruthless Edgeworth again. Just a great case that I wish was longer.

    1. Bridge to the Turnabout

Perfect ending for the trilogy. Playing as Edgey-boy and going against Franziska on the first session was great. Godot is this case is a masterpiece of writing. Boring defendant brings it a little down from number 1 & 2.

    1. Farewell, My Turnabout

Oh boy. This is a expectation subversion done right. In every single other case, your client is not guilty of the crime, when you see that your client is guilty, normally you'd just be like "he's guilty lol". But you can't. Your partner's life depends on it. Seeing Edgeworth back was fantastic, this case is just incredible. You'd probably ask, "how do you top this?", well...

    1. Turnabout Goodbyes

boi. aside from the 1st day of exploration, this is perfect. Manfred von Karma is the most intimidating prosecutor ever. No doubt. He killed a man because of a penalty and tried to blame a kid for it, also giving him (Edgeworth) a phobia of earthquakes. Yogi is also executed well, Larry is great, I like Lotta a lot, and, defending the then main villain is brilliant. Normally, the "main" villain would have actually done a crime and you would prove his guilt (like with Godot) but, no. I just love this case to death. Please, please play it.

Apparently there's a stage play based on an unused case in Ace Attorney Investigations 2, and someone posted it on YouTube recently, but there are no english subtitles.

Probably nothing anyone cares about, but I found it funny how a comment I posted on the Ace Attorney subreddit was counted as objective sounding by Grammarly and had the Scales of Justice to boot.

Where do I get called a circus?

    Posted: 01 Jun 2020 09:24 PM PDT

A popular line that I've seen on the internet a few times is Edgeworth saying "You are not a clown. You are the entire circus." Where is this? I just went through all of AA and didn't see it.

The controversial Godot, and why I hope he returns

    Posted: 01 Jun 2020 07:32 AM PDT

I'd like to speak about Godot after completing the trilogy for the very first time. I loved all the games! I loved 2 less than the rest, but that's whatever.

Godot, when he was first introduced, I was charmed by his cool design, quirky love for coffee, and his sharp remarks. His theme is amazing, and I can't help but listen to it often.
Where people tend to drop off, though, is with his actions in the story. He's a dick. A massive one, at that. He intentionally risked the lives of many Fey women, and killed one of them, even with the awareness of the likely possibility that the situation was under control. However, not to justify his actions, but he was a broken man.
Godot as we know him is a shell of his former self, a petty, vengeful remnant of the man known as Diego Armando. He contrasts Phoenix with his approach to Mia's death. Phoenix accepts it, and grows even further to inherit her will and legacy. Meanwhile, Godot festers in the grief, and lets it corrupt himself.

I feel I've established well enough that Godot is not a good person during these events. However, I can't help but wish he was given a chance to return to the world. Perhaps as a prosecutor, or a defense lawyer, or something. A chance to work with Wright & Co. maybe? A chance for him to take his past mistakes, and start a transition back to the man he once was, maybe even something greater.

There's a good man still in Godot, and to be able to see it brought forward again would be great to me. I don't think he should retroactively become a hero, but I do think he should be given a chance to be a hero again in the present age.

What do you guys think? I haven't played any of the games past the original trilogy yet, but I am aware that Godot never makes an appearance past 3.

    Ace Attorney -Pursuit- [SONG ANALYSIS]

    Posted: 01 Jun 2020 08:57 AM PDT

Where do you think an ace attorney 7 would go?

    Posted: 01 Jun 2020 12:36 PM PDT

after spirit of justice Ace attorney for me gave me weird mix of i am done, but also want more, because i feel like spirit of justice is the perfect peak for the current phoenix wright saga, i genuinely can't think of ideas to move the story further besides every case being case 3 fillers.

but at the same i still want more of it, so just like jojo's bizzare adventure, perhaps is about time part 7 would be an alternative universe reboot, going back to 2016, but it actually takes place in 2016, with a whole new cast of characters yet they all share the same name, except judge santa clause.

main character is still name phoenix wright but is not at all similar to the mainline nick, maybe give him a new "nick"name for fans to call just to easy differentiate them while his biological name is still phoenix wright.

    IOS versions.

    Posted: 01 Jun 2020 08:27 AM PDT

So I'm currently playing the trilogy on switch and recently finished the first game and that i might want to play the next three games after the trilogy. I saw them on IOS for £0.99 and bought all three. I'm just wondering if there any different to the original games and if there missing anything they had. Also could i connect a controller to the Ipad to play them.

Did capcom kill the series or something?

    Posted: 01 Jun 2020 03:04 AM PDT

4 years and nothing about a new game. We don't even know if it's in development or not. Considering this game is mostly a VN with little to no voice over, I assume it's not really costly to make the game for capcom. Is the game's following really that low so a major AAA publisher like Capcom can't afford to make this game?
