And with that, the end of the trilogy. T&T is hands down my favorite game in the trilogy. Amazing cases, characters, twists, everything. Bridge to the turnabout Especially. It took me a total of 67 hours to play the whole trilogy and I don’t regret a single second. Looking forward to AJ

Had a real hard time coming up with a set up(which I still don't think it's that good) but the punchline was all that was on my mind after finishing the original trilogy today(technically yesterday since it's 12:01 AM), on to Apollo justice tomorrow(technically today) hopefully.

What cases work well as stage plays?

    Posted: 20 Feb 2020 06:31 PM PST

As a performance/theatre artist myself, I LOVE that there are so many stage adaptations of Ace Attorney and I kinda want to make one of my own! The references to stage magic and circus alone would be amazing to draw from. (I did attempt to contact the Takarazuka Revue and Capcom about it but no dice, and alas none of the theatre/circus/magic people I know would be big enough fans to make this with me 😭)

I know that the current stage plays are a mix of existing cases and stage-only cases, but which existing cases or elements do you reckon lend themselves to the stage?

I think Turnabout Big Top could work, especially in a circus context (Max Galactica could very easily do an aerials act) though I'm not sure how you'd write in the Edgeworth plotline without having to dump a ton of backstory exposition. The hijinks of the Yatagarasu or Mask Demasque could also work as they involve a strong central character.

Sone of my headcanons for the Ace Attorney characters!

    Posted: 20 Feb 2020 10:42 AM PST

Since I've seen plenty of similar posts, I thought why not? Here are some of my own ideas. The post has been flagged as NFSW as there are a couple of references to adult scenes.

    Anyway, let's begin:

    - After repeated comments of Phoenix and Maya on her abnormal strength, Pearl decided to take up martial arts. Exceeding all expectations, she had already obtained 4 black belts in 4 different types of martial arts by the age of 16. Maya is so impressed and proud of her cousin that she's thinking of integrating martial arts into the training exercises that spirit mediums undergo.

    - Franziska loves to dance. When she was a kid and she was alone at home, she'd put some of her favorite pop music (that Manfred did not allow her to listen to) on the radio and dance her little heart out. Now that she's a grown woman, she attends dance classes and absolutely steals the show when she's on the dance floor of a club. I imagine Franzy going wild when Abba's "Gimme! Gimme! Gimme!" comes on, inviting a blushing Shi-Long to dance with her.

    - Apart from dogs, Franziska also loves horses. After the von Karma mansion was passed down to her, she turned the vast piece of land she owned into a horse farm, so whenever she returns home to Germany, she relaxes by catering to her horses. And while she has used her whip on people countless times, she has never laid a finger on her four legged friends.

    - As he grew up, Sebastian became a spitting image of Blaise, something he loathes himself for. His traumatic upbringing at the hands of his father also resulted in Sebastian discovering a dark version of himself. There are times where Sebastian becomes distant and acts in a cynical and borderline hostile manner towards everyone. He hates these sudden mood swings but he cannot help it. When Sebastian is in a foul mood, only Kay is able to revert him back to his normal self.

    - After solving the SS-5 incident and revealing the truth about the real president having been murdered a dozen years ago, the Lang family began earning the trust and respect of the society of Zheng Fa once again. Shi-Long went as far as to become the Chief of Police of Zheng Fa, ensuring the integrity of the following elections for a new government.

    - During his time as Chief of Police of Zheng Fa, Lang had taken on a big profile case that involved underground dealings between the most powerful mob families of the country. Finding the evidence he needed to put the criminals away was incredibly hard as the mobsters were extremely good at hiding their tracks, but Lang managed to find the desired evidence just before the stature of limitations ended. Meanwhile, as the mobsters were certain that they had gotten away, they decided to join their houses and marry their children together on the same day, to celebrate for their victory over the authorities of Zheng Fa. But just as the priest was about to pronounce the couple as husband and wife, Lang barges in with an army of men and arrests everyone.

    - During his incarceration, Simon Blackquill participated in a fight tournament between the inmates. He came to earn the respect of all the other convicts, not just because he dominated the tournament, but also because he was an honorable fighter who refused to use weapons, take cheap shots or attack anyone who was down or unable to keep fighting.

    - Apart from his love for prosecuting and listening to classical music, Manfred von Karma also loved fencing, a hobby he passed down to Miles and Franziska as well. When he was a young man, Manfred had participated in the national fencing competition in Germany, winning second place (soon after the competition ended, the winner of the competition went missing and nobody ever heard from him again).

    - Back in the day, Damon Gant used to be a bodybuilder and a swimming athlete, winning several trophies and distinctions. When he was Chief of Police, he kept a couple of workout training machines in his office to exercise in his free time. He still exercises in jail, as he says that he'd feel sick if he didn't exercise, even if it was just for a day.

    - Before becoming a prosecutor, Blaise Debeste made a living by working as an engineer in a bike shop. As he grew up, he became obsessed with biker culture and became a biker himself, eventually becoming the leader of the most fearsome biker gang in town. He maintained that position even after becoming Chief Prosecutor, as he would often use his gang to settle matters outside of court by silencing annoying witnesses and defense attorneys.

    - Rumor has it that Matt Engarde was involved in illegal street racing. People say that he used to drive a heavily modified silver BMW, but the car has yet to be found.

    - Nobody had a clue, but Dahlia was still a virgin during her college days. While she was obsessed with sex and self-pleasure, she never let any of her boy toys get their hands on her, as she found all of them to be nothing but a bunch of dimwitted, disgusting pigs. All of that changed after she met Kristoph, as she was charmed by his perfect looks and manners, his intelligence and most importantly, his total lack of moral qualms. Being unable to control her urges any longer, she invited him over to her place for dinner one night, and the moment he stepped inside, she pinned him down to the floor and proceeded to make her wildest wet fantasies come true. It was Kristoph's first time as well.

    - In an alternate universe, Kristoph took on a case that demanded he faced Manfred von Karma, who was still undefeated at the time. Before the trial started, the two bumped into each other in the lobby. During this brief meeting, Manfred attempted to intimidate Kristoph by reminding him that he has never lost and that Kristoph has no chance of winning. However, Manfred's show of arrogance was cut short as Kristoph interrupted him with a german phrase which stopped Manfred dead on his tracks: "Ich fürchte, deine Zeit ist abgelaufen." The end of the trial saw Kristoph shock the world by defeating Manfred and bringing the legendary prosecutor's 40 year win streak to an end.

    - Franziska challenged Maya to a cooking competition once, which resulted in a no-contest, as the two girls set the kitchen on fire and Phoenix and Miles had to come to the rescue and put it out. Franziska avoided Miles for a whole week following this incident.

    - Franziska once asked Maya to channel Gregory's spirit in order to apologize to him for her father's actions. The female prosecutor was surprised to find out that Gregory held no resentment towards her whatsoever, despite being the daughter of the man who took his life. Gregory went as far as to show Franziska his gratitude for being his son's only company when they were children.

    - After Kay successfully passed her exams to become a detective, she visited Badd in prison, who was overjoyed at learning the news.

    - Sebastian and Kay's first time having sex took place in Mile's office. Unfortunately for them, they were cut short and scared to death, as Miles walked in on them while they were doing it on the couch. Being as subtle as humanly possible, Miles turned around and left. He never said a word to Sebastian and Kay about this, but he replaced the couch in his office with a different one. Whenever Sebastian and Kay visit him in his office and they sit on the new couch, they blush and hang their heads in shame, as they are reminded of the time they were caught red-handed.

    - After his father was arrested, Sebastian had his father's home all to himself. After learning that Kay lived in a tiny apartment, he invited her to settle down with him in his place. But since Blaise had turned the house into a shady hellhole filled with sinister decorations and tons of guns, it was up to the two teenagers to convert the mob-like hideout into a family friendly home. Incidentally, this is how Sebastian and Klavier met and became friends. On a day that Klavier was riding his bike through the road the Debeste house is on, he noticed a skeptical Sebastian pondering what to do with his father's Harley bike. After convincing him that it would be a shame to throw such a beautiful bike away, Klavier came over to the Debeste house to help Sebastian refurbish his father's bike. It was after learning that Sebastian was a fellow prosecutor that Sebastian and Klavier became best friends, with Klavier showing Sebastian the ropes and helping him become a better prosecutor.

    - After passing the bar exam and becoming a real prosecutor, Sebastian paid a visit to his father in prison. The visit went awry, as Blaise refused to show any respect to his son or acknowledge his accomplishment, going as far as to mock his son by telling him that a person as stupid as him would never make a career as a real prosecutor. Sebastian was able to take his father's harsh words with a straight face, but he assaulted Blaise in a fit of rage after the latter mentioned that he knew his son was living with Kay and implied that he would send people to harm the girl.

    - After Miles introduced Sebastian to Phoenix, the defense attorney saw his younger, wimpy self in the rookie prosecutor. To help boost his morale, Phoenix had a talk with Sebastian, which really helped the latter learn how to handle his stress during trials.

    - Since they couldn't afford a better place, Dick and Maggey held their wedding party at a pizza joint. Miles had offered to help with the expenses so that the celebration be held at a more prestigious place, but Gumshoe's pride wouldn't allow him to accept such a gift. The detective specifically stated "I might be running on instant noodles and, but I'm not too poor to be unable to hold a proper wedding celebration, pal!".

    - Ray once took Larry as a client, defending him over false accusations of sexual harassment. After Ray successfully getting Larry off the hook, the two men celebrated their victory by going to the local bar to get drunk and pick up chicks.

    - After seeing her after a long time, Larry greeted Franziska by hitting on her, but he quickly backed off after Franziska introduced Larry to Shi-Long as the man she had been dating for a few months. Lang was so offended by Larry's behavior that he almost put his hands on him, but decided to let him off with a warning after the latter promised that he'd never try to hit on Franziska again.

    - After learning the news of Phoenix's disbarment, Miles vowed to help Phoenix restore his name and get his badge back, even going as far as to enlist the help of Franziska, Kay, Sebastian and Lang to do that. The group worked together to reach the truth and eventually discovered Kristoph's involvement in the case that cost Phoenix his badge. Miles engaged Kristoph in what's probably the greatest logic chess battle he ever had, with Kristoph defending himself with a full set of 16 pieces. Despite that, Miles came very close to winning, but his lack of decisive evidence did not allow him to take out Kristoph's king and unseal his lips. Ultimately, the operation ended in failure as the group didn't produce enough evidence to officially accuse Kristoph of foul play. However, it was this operation that made Phoenix realize who his enemy was, which led to him making his own preparations to take Kristoph out in the future.

    - Iris, Viola, Vera and Adrian are all good friends with each other.

    - Simon and Acro met in prison and became good friends, despite Simon's bad original impression of Acro. At first, Simon couldn't help but be disgusted at how Acro had forgiven Regina for hurting his brother but Acro's calm and determined attitude eventually helped Simon to let go of his hate towards the people that wronged him.

    - After getting out of prison, Acro met Viola. As two individuals who stood by each other to overcome their own physical disabilities, they quickly fell in loved and settled down together.

    - Redd White, Furio Tigre, Richard Wellington and Florent L'Belle were all working together with Alba's smuggling ring.

    - Back when they were just a bunch of rascals, Gant, von Karma and Debeste used to hang out together, despite being unable to tolerate each other, as they would get on each other's throats over the pettiest of reasons. One specific example was an argument between von Karma and Gant over the identity of a structure used for climbing, as von Karma insisted that it was a ladder while Gant argued that it was a step-ladder. When they asked for Debeste's opinion, the latter responded by using a lighter to torch the object and burn it down to ashes.

    - The prosecutors stationed at the prosecutors' office (Blackquill, Gavin, Debeste and Sahdmadhi) often hold gaming tournaments, with the winner being declared the Prosecutorial Videogame Champion Of The Month. Klavier's specialty is Guitar Hero and rhythm games, Simon excels at fighting games, Nahyuta's strong point are MMORPGs while Sebastian is a jack of all trades but a master of none.

    Looking Into Old Series Rumors

    Posted: 20 Feb 2020 04:00 PM PST

Recently, I've become interested in rumors about the series that have come up over the years. Getting into the series, I only really remember stuff about Spirit Of Justice, DGS, and even the stuff about multiple titles coming to the Switch. However, I'm actually having some trouble finding older rumors for games like Dual Destinies or earlier. Does anyone have any links to any articles talking about them?

How would you rate Ace Attorney's writing compares to other mainstream movie, book story

    Posted: 20 Feb 2020 06:27 AM PST

I was wondering that the Ace Attorney's franchise usually get a lot of praise for it's writing ,but how good it's compare to other media. It's can be anything from plot, character to mystery, humour.

PS:I'm not good at English so feel free to criticize my grammar

So what is the community consensus over Dual Destiny's writting?

    Posted: 20 Feb 2020 04:07 AM PST

I am currious, I've just finnished the game, and i have to say, while the game is great, i think this is for the moment my least favorite of the serie. The different new character feel a little too cartoony to me, while before they where quirky but still believable, is it just me?

Are the DLC worth it? I have not play them, yet.
