What are some fun little headcanons you have for the AA characters

    Posted: 12 Jan 2020 09:43 PM PST

Some of my personal ones are

•Edgeworth secretly loves dogs, specifically Pomeranians, but no one but Phoenix, Larry, and Franziska know about it

•Larry asks Franziska out to lunch everyday and she has agreed a few times

•All of the people who work at the Wright Anything Agency have their own plant at home they treat like their Charley's relatives

    And my favorite

•Gumshoe is saving up money to eventually buy Maggey a ring

    Did Edgeworth Ever Forge Evidence?

    Posted: 12 Jan 2020 10:13 PM PST

I'm playing AAI for the first time and was thinking a lot about Edgeworth pre-Turnabout Goodbyes. So, Phoenix found out about Edgeworth through his disappearance via an article that implied he was forging evidence, and there's the infamous scene with the updated autopsy report in "Turnabout Sisters" which implies/introduces Edgeworth as doing some shady stuff. At the same time, I'm not sure if there was ever anything in the games that explicitly confirmed him doing that, other than his very biased view against the accused/fear of failure Von Karma instilled into him. Thoughts?

Came up with a concept for an Ace Attorney case

    Posted: 12 Jan 2020 10:12 PM PST

You discover a key witness to your case, but there's just a little problem: the key witness is incapable of making testimony (e.g. the witness is a 1-year old baby who cannot speak, an animal, or a mentally incapable person, etc), and you own some kind of special object that allows you to pry into the key witness' memories to gain the information you seek (just like how you can view the victim's last memories in AA6). You bring the witness along with you during your investigation, and showing him or her certain evidence or locations would uncover new insights or memories.

On a side note, I think it'll be interesting if there would be a case in the future that involves a witness who is disabled in some way (being deaf etc) and their disability serves as an important part of the case.

What do you guys think of this concept?

A ridiculous headcanon I came up with.

    Posted: 12 Jan 2020 11:42 AM PST

If you're looking for context here, there is none, so give up hoping. This is merely a dumb moment I thought up inside my head that I believe would make for a fun 60-second clip.

The scene begins as legendary prosecutor Manfred von Karma is seen dressing up in his prosecutor garments, making his entrance in the courtroom to Antonin Dvorak's "New World Symphony No. 9". As the crowd watches in awe, he slowly approaches his bench, emphatically slamming the case file dossier on it. He then waves his hands in the air, making it seem like he's the one leading the orchestra. But around the 0:40 mark on the song, the "New World Symphony" fades out and is suddenly replaced by Ween's "Ocean Man". Enraged, Manfred turns around to see who it is who dares interrupt his perfect entrance. And entering the courtroom is the Chief of Police Damon Gant, dressed up in an orange hawaiian shirt, shorts and slippers, holding a fishing rod on one hand and a Pina Colada on the other. A cheerful Gant proceeds to take up the witness stand, while prosecutor Von Karma repeatedly slams his head on the desk.

Yeah, I don't know how I came up with this.

Looking for help finding Apollo reaction images/gifs.

    Posted: 12 Jan 2020 09:45 PM PST

I've just been looking for reaction images and/or gifs of Apollo, specifically him saying "oof" or "F" and a no u/ uno reverse card. He's kind of just become my image on Discord so I'm trying to find reactions with him to go along with it. I just can't seem to find the mentioned categories anywhere, so if anyone can find one please send a link to it. Thanks in advance. Sorry if this counts as low effort/shitpost, I will move if needed.

My theory on why Manfed began forging evidence...

    Posted: 12 Jan 2020 11:03 AM PST

I've read a bunch of theories on why Manfred resorted to forging evidence to win trials and keep his perfect record. One theory suggests that his wife was killed and the culprits walked free, which made him forge evidence to make sure something like that would never happen again. Another theory suggests that, during his first steps as a prosecutor, he could barely carry his weight in court and that he had to forge evidence to keep up until he knew how to win trials, but until that time came, he had already started a long streak of victories in courtroom, and he just kept forging evidence to keep the streak going.

Well, I have a theory of my own, explaining why he did it. And my theory can be summed up by two words: Blaise Debeste.

You see, according to my theory, Manfred and Blaise go way back, as they knew each other when they were still children. Manfred was a very meticulous child that knew and played by the rules better than anyone. Blaise, on the other hand, knew the rules as well, but never really cared to play by them. If he wanted something, he would use direct means to take it. In other words, you could say that Manfred was the kid that always played by the book, while Blaise was the street wise one. And much to the dismay of Manfred, Blaise was always more successful and achieved whatever goals he had faster than Manfred. Blaise would bully Manfred to death because of that, even as they grew up and began their careers in law. As Blaise rose through the ranks a lot faster than Manfred did, something snapped inside good guy von Karma, and he started cheating his way to victory, in an attempt to surpass his bully and sworn rival. But no matter how hard Manfred tried, Blaise was still advancing faster than Manfred. And when the former finally got the position of Chief Prosecutor, Manfred lost it and became the twisted man we came to meet in the first AA game: a power hungry evil man who had been corrupted by an old rival.

    Thoughts?

Best way to play Apollo Justice, Dual Destinies, Investigations, and Spirit of Justice?

    Posted: 12 Jan 2020 01:14 PM PST

I bought the trilogy on Steam and I really enjoyed the twists even though I was fairly spoiled. There are like 5 more games, though, and I don't know how to play them. Are they getting ported to PC anytime soon? Or should I save some money and buy a 3DS? Should I download them from the App Store? Last time I did that (Zero Escape) I regretted it.

How good is the sequel trilogy?

    Posted: 12 Jan 2020 09:19 AM PST

I saw some reviews about Spirit of Justice (which I believe is Phoenix's return to the series after the new protagonist), and heard it was really weird but really good. How are the first two sequel games? Are they worth playing?

Please be careful about spoilers, I still haven't quite finished the original trilogy.

Question about Blue Badger location in Rise from the Ashes (PW:AA 1-5)

    Posted: 12 Jan 2020 11:48 AM PST

If the location of the Blue Badger in the evidence room made it "impossible" for anyone to leave a handprint on Gumshoe's locker while it was there, then how did Marshall and Meekins manage to walk behind it in the video footage? There was clearly a lot of room between the Badger and the locker.
