Unpopular Opinion: (SPOILERS FOR MAIN TRILOGY) Posted: 23 Sep 2019 09:37 AM PDT I don't like Phoenix x Maya, because I feel that a romantic relationship would ruin their dynamic. However, I'm not arguing that they don't have a strong bond, yet I think their relationship resembles family closer than lovers. In 1-2 when Mia gets murdered, Phoenix and Maya meet. However I don't think their relationship would've been as strong if that didn't happen. Maya's story is really sad when it comes to her family. All of her family is either missing, dead, or hates her to the point they would frame her for murder to try to kill her themselves. Before Mia's death, Mia was the only person she could count on to support her in her time of need, bail her out of false murder charges, or simply get her burgers. After her murder, she essentially lost her whole family (except Pearl, who she takes care of after JFA). Enter Phoenix. Phoenix was the only person who believed that she didn't kill her sister and would give the exact kind of support she needs. Bailing her out of false murder charges or simply getting her burgers. After that they start to form a strange, tiny family unit where they watch Steel Samurai, get burgers, and solve murder cases in between. Their dialogue I feel also fits in with this. They tend to argue and tease each other kinda like siblings. "You should stop judging things based on narrow-minded cultural assumptions, Nick" etc. Most people use case 2-4 to argue for their ship since Pheonix was crying (especially in the anime) and was worried about saving Maya, but I feel that family connection can also explain this well. Anyway, those are my thoughts. [link] [comments]

Gaspen Payne is one of the deepest character in the Ace attorney history Posted: 23 Sep 2019 06:44 AM PDT Gaspen, who is so overcome with grief from his brother's constant suffering of defeat after defeat following his fall from glory after Mia's second case, wants to take revenge on Phoenix in Dual Destinies, restore Winston's honor, who knows, maybe even to show him that Wright is beatable - only to lose himself. After being ejected from the prosecutor's office, he finds himself in Khu'rain, where he takes up his job once again - only this time, he succeeds. He succeeds far enough to be chief prosecutor, the highest possible standing in his metier. And after one year, he meets Wright again. Remembering the humiliation, the suffering he went through, he takes his chance and manipulates Wright into getting executed should the latter lose the case. He hates Phoenix so much that he literally tries to get him killed. Wow. I think no one else went off the deep end that much, save for Dahlia. [link] [comments]

When does Ace attorney Investigations take place? Posted: 23 Sep 2019 04:52 PM PDT I just started Ace attorney Investigations. I was wondering when it takes place. Is Phoenix already disbarred when the game starts? [link] [comments]

Why do people dislike Nahyuta so much? Posted: 23 Sep 2019 01:03 AM PDT I don't think his design is bland at all. Elegant and flowy, he's unlike any other prosecutor we've had before. His animations and tone are somehow soothing, even when he's thwacking his beads against the table. I find it hilarious when he talks about the 'research' he's conducted, and when he starts speaking in slang etc. He's also the only prosecutor iirc to actually scold his witnesses when they're caught lying, which shows that he does value the truth. And he's clever. Even after Phoenix/Apollo/Athena prove something significant he finds a way to incorporate it into his series of events rather than just demanding 'where's the evidence??!!1!!' over and over again, like some other prosecutors we know. I commonly hear people complain about how much of a douchebag he is, but I don't see that at all. IMO he is just as reasonable as the game states him to be on multiple occasions. His 'putrid soul' jabs always seemed more dramatic than actually insulting, and most were genuinely funny (Hell of Tickling). I haven't started Turnabout Revolution yet, so I might be missing something, but what's wrong with Nahyuta? [link] [comments]
Looking for sound effect from PW:AA Posted: 23 Sep 2019 12:33 AM PDT I don't know how to describe it, but this sound effect usually plays when a character realizes something important. It is a very quick sound effect, and is usually accompanied with a white flash effect. [link] [comments] |
