| I have really come to appreciate the ending of TGAA2 as I thought about it more Posted: 11 Mar 2022 07:42 PM PST `One major issue I had with the end of The Resolve of Ryunosuke Naruhodo at first was how Hurley kinda just appears and ends up being the one to deliver the killing blow to Stronghart. But really over time, I have kinda become okay with that as it doesn't change the fact that Ryunosuke has already proven everything and that Hurley's intervention is simply exposing him to Queen Victoria. More importantly, I have come to appreciate how subtle this convey's the theme of the whole Great Ace Attorney saga. Whether you love them or hate them, you can't deny that Yamazaki's games lack subtlety in whatever themes they choose to convey, often having so little regard for it that characters will just flat say whatever the intended theme is. On the other hand, the ending of The Resolve of Ryunoske Naruhodo decides to show and not tell. I have seen people say that an alternative for Stronghart's murders against the noble criminals isn't given, and while it is pretty easy to miss if you don't think about it deep enough, I would have to disagree. One consistent theme throughout the duology is the idea of becoming the monster that one is keen on destroying. This can be seen in characters such as van Zieks and Ashley Graydon but is also key in understanding the Professor and Reaper. The story has consistently shown that choosing this underhanded way of dealing with noble criminals, results in many serious negative effects. Whether it be how it unjustly kills people like the prior Chief Justice and Genshin Asogi, ruins families as it did to the van Zieks family, and causes people like Courtney Sithe and Seishiro Jigoku to do things they probably wouldn't normally do to maintain whatever lies they had to tell. Rather than just sit on a high horse and say "Stronghart's actions are bad because murder is bad," we see the negative consequence of both the Professor and Reaper killings throughout the story. So the end of The Resolve of Ryunosuke Naruhodo has a situation that would meet the requirements of a Professor or Reaper killing (Stronghart is a powerful official that's using his power to keep the judiciary silent about his crimes, meaning that ironically, by controlling both the Professor and the Reaper, Stronghart has become what he says that he wants to destroy), and the good guys win. Not through underhanded means, but full cooperation from all sides. Ryunosuke has fought all he can, the trial wouldn't have gone to the point if it weren't for Kazuma, and their reliance on others such as Susato, Gina, van Zeiks, Iris, and Herlock is what ultimately gets Stronghart convicted. Without telling, the game is showing that the key to getting rid of these noble criminals that escape the law is through focusing on lawfulness and transparency from everyone involved in the trial process, rather than acting lawlessly to end lawlessness. Overall, I have to say that the way that The Great Ace Attorney has displayed its theme comes full circle at the end of The Resolve of Ryunosuke Naruhodo, and the way it all clicks is certainly satisfying. However, I will say the fact that Hurley relies on holograms in 1900, especially in a world that uses Nokias in 2028, doesn't fully sit well with me and comes across that the writers were so focused on the theme that they sacrificed some of the suspension of disbelief (although in its defense, holograms for some reason have been a part of Ace Attorney for a long time through things such as Little Theif). So that's my essay, I hope whether you agree or disagree it was interesting to you and I would love here your guys' thoughts on the matter. [link] [comments] | ||

However there is something that I'm dying to have confirmed: What the heck is the purple thing Hugh carries around?? I assume it's his bow and arrows. But it's so tall, and I've never seen anything like that! Unless it's a super large medieval longbow or something?? Shelly came to the stand with his radio and i was low on hwalth(or whatever you call it) i tried to save then present something which i succsesfully did. It did not work so i went to load my save and accidentally pressed save and went through with it. I realy dont want to all of the case again is there a way to reverse this?
