    Theory about Iris (TGAAC2 endgame spoilers)

    So when watching an LP of TGAAC2 I wondered if Iris might have figured out her parentage well before the player and Ryu do. Mainly because of the little moment with her and Van Zieks where she offers him tea. It's the first time she really interacts with him directly at all. When I first played the game I thought it was cute but a little out of nowhere. What stands out most is her little blush. I can't think of another moment where she does this particular sprite animation (i think there probably is one but it involved someone she was already close to) and it doesn't really seem like her to blush so much just because Van Zieks is a little nice to her.

    She also comes in with a serious expression then smiles and says she brought "you" one of her special tea blends, at first anyone playing thinks she is talking to Ryu and/or Susato, but she actually talking to Van Zieks. She talks to him before anyone else even though Ryu addresses her first. It's totally different from how she acted around Van Zieks previously. I suggest going back and watching this moment. Ryu also notices she is troubled and thinks it's because she stole the autopsy report but it could also be because she figured some things out on her own.

    Of course how she would have deduced who her father was at that point is the issue with this theory. This is right after the deduction where we find out Mikotoba is Sholmes's partner. Through this deduction she realized that Wilson wasn't her father. The next possibility was Mikotoba and that's what Susato ends the deduction thinking. Maybe Iris wanted to know for sure given what a huge revelation that would be and starts to research and go through the possibilities on her own. She may have started to wonder if Sholmes forbidding her to publish The Hound of the Baskervilles or anything about the B dog collar in Case 2 was related to her father's true identity. It would not be hard for her to look up the symbols for noble families to realize the B was for Baskerville. It would also not be hard for her to look at old newspapers in the library to see news of the Baskervilles and Van Zieks marriage and she already would know Klint as one of the victims, so I think it would be a logical deduction for her to realize Klint may have been her father and that is why Sholmes didn't want her near anything to do with the Baskervilles. There would also be an obituary about the death of her mother that would match closely to her birthday. There might even be news reports when the collar was stolen from the Van Zieks manor which mentioned its origin as a wedding gift for the marriage. She may or may not have realized he was the Professor, I think it doesn't matter for the theory. Another bit of evidence is that she seemed to already know Mikotoba wasn't her father during the dinner before the last trial day even though he was the next logical option for her. Lastly we all know she is very smart and very good at deductions.

    That said I am not completely sold on this theory myself but just thought it's worth a thought.

    I mean animations of herlock during the great deductions but with transparent background, since the common sprites don't have the camera spins and various angles. Does such thing exist? Or is it possible to make by myself? (Like getting a 3d model with his various animations and making the camera rotate myself?)

    i just finish the final case and i teared up when susato said she wanted stay by ryunosuke side and chose to go with him over kazuma. i thought she liked kazuma but seems like the ending was a low key confession? do you guys think it was love and they got married down the line when they were older obviously? and of course would have a descendent who also became a legendary attorney phoenix !

    Since finishing The Great Ace Attorney 2: Resolve I have been replaying and thinking about the original trilogy and the other games that came afterwards and how the franchise is able to produce some amazing moments.
