How would you reboot Ace Attorney?

    Posted: 03 Aug 2020 10:15 PM PDT

Whether you like it or not, leave your list down on what your reboot of Ace Attorney should be? What major changes should be there? The court system, characters, settings, conflicts, facts, cases, and stuff? It's all on you.

    Character Review #3: Big Bads

    Posted: 03 Aug 2020 07:30 PM PDT

And now for the big bads! Okay, this one might be subjective on what counts as a big bad or not. Some characters I am including because I feel they have much importance to the plot. I apologize if your favorite big bad was not included on this list.

    • Manfred von Karma: The bastard who ruined Edgeworth's life and caused much turmoil in the legal system by killing his father. A man who strives on perfect record. In his 40 years as prosecutor, he cheated by forging evidence and intimidating witnesses and judges to maintain his record. Thankfully, Phoenix Wright is not a man to be underestimated, and so Manfred was put in his place. Overall, Manfred is a character whose great because of presence. You can't help but feel helpless as he is in control of everything.
    • Damon Gant: Another twisted man who used his position as chief prosecutor to manipulate Lana Skye and other detectives in a cover up. Phoenix and Edgeworth had to pretty much work together in order to take him down. Damon Gant's cheerful exterior is not to be taken lightly; inside is a very nasty foe whose take down is very satisfying. He is truly one of the best, if not THE best one-off villain in the trilogy, maybe even the entire franchise.
    • Morgan Fey: Words cannot express my pure hatred towards this ugly woman. Everything she did to the poor Fey Clan makes me want to punch my TV screen everytime she pops up. However, I have to give her credit for being somewhat well-written if I was able to hate her that much.
    • Dahlia Hawthorne: Ah, Dahlia Hawthorne, How do we hate thee? Your nice cute demeanor hides a venomous, manipulative demon lady. Everything this girl did is so unforgivable that even her tragic backstory cannot earn her sympathy. Easily the best villain in the trilogy. Poor Iris deserved better than her.
    • Kristoph Gavin: My personal favorite big bad. A seemingly calm and collected defense attorney who hides a very unstable and paranoid man who stalks everybody from behind the shadows. The scariest thing about him is that it pretty much took an overhaul of the legal system just to take him down. Had Phoenix Wright not been alive, Apollo, Trucy, Klavier and everyone else involved would have been screwed. Seeing him breakdown is still one of most chilling moments in the franchise for me, and if I could voice one Ace Attorney character, it would easily be him.
    • The Phantom: One word: "What?" No seriously, I have no idea what to make of the Phantom. He just came out-of-nowhere and his involvement with the dark-age-of-the-law honestly didn't make any sense. Seriously, what actually happened? Didn't Dual Destinies already establish the dark-age-of-the-law was caused by attorneys forging evidence, somehow related to Turnabout Academy? So... what does this spy introduced at the last minute have to do with that? Okay, sure.
    • Ga'ran Sigatar Khura'in: I don't like Khura'in. I don't think Turnabout Revolution was really that great aside from Dhurke. Consequently, I don't like Ga'ran. Pretty much just a combination of several characters who already did it better:
      • Evil prosecutor?: Manfred, Godot
      • Bad mother?: Morgan
      • Good twin/evil twin?: Iris/Dahlia

As always, I would be interested in your thoughts. At the moment, I'm kind of debating which topic to cover next.

Some interesting trivia about Turnabout Countdown (5-1). I think the episode would've been better if they kept this, what about you?

I'm getting a glitch in the first game fifth case!

    Posted: 03 Aug 2020 08:58 PM PDT

So on day two, Investegating the evedance room, I found everything that should be found, and I'm supposed to progress to Edgeworths office, after Gumshoe leaves, But after finding everything he isnt leaving, Is there something I may be missing?

edit; More details will be given to anyone who asks, But I found the handprint on the locker, Investegated the glove, Fixed the vase, Found the pool of blood, and talked with gumshoe about everything. edit 2; I realise I put fifth case instead of turnabout or something, But its "Rise from the Ashes"

    Is my game broken?

    Posted: 03 Aug 2020 04:57 PM PDT

I'm playing Apollo Justice on an emulator with a game I got from the Google Play store (not pirated!). I'm in the very first trial and I'm stuck on the part where I'm supposed to, according to a guide, present Crime Photo 1 and on Phoenix's fifth statement and get the recording of Nick's call to Gavin...

Except I'm not and the judge just keeps saying "Decisive contradictions require decisive evidence blah blah blah..."

I've already confirmed that the bottle was empty and that Nick put the hat on the dead guy's head but it just keeps looping back around WHAT AM I DOING WRONG???!!!?!

Edit: I left it alone for an hour, came back, and it fixed itself. Video game glitches and their fixes never cease to amaze me.

Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Fan Dub #1- The First Turnabout

    Posted: 03 Aug 2020 06:43 PM PDT

Speculation: how does Maya make any money of her own at all?

    Posted: 03 Aug 2020 06:17 PM PDT

Just a random question, to amuse myself. Clearly Phoenix doesn't pay her in anything other than burgers, and he barely even makes enough money to pay the law office's rent in the first place. I would say that Maya's getting enough money to get by from back home in Kurain, but the village itself is poor to begin with, at least until their reputation eventually improves.

    Unpopular opinions?

    Posted: 03 Aug 2020 08:37 AM PDT

So I've seen a lot of people making posts to talk about how they enjoy the series as a whole, and I figured that it would be interesting to see some people's unpopular/controversial opinions.

    Mine, personally:

    • Nahyuta is actually one of the best prosecutors.

    • Apollo's development in Turnabout Revolution makes him better and it's his best appearance.

    • Edgeworth in Ace Attorney Investigations and Investigations 2 is actually one of his best appearances.

    • Turnabout Big Top is actually a pretty good case, albeit not the best.

I'm interested to hear your opinions.
