Did anyone freak out a bit in 5-5 when...

    Posted: 21 Jun 2020 07:59 AM PDT

... Blackquill revealed that young Athena said she was going to fix her mother? The face shown of her, and the whole build-up to that reveal had me FREAKED out. Honestly, this is the creepiest case I've played from AA so far, but I haven't played SoJ yet.

There’s something I don’t understand from bridge to the turnabout.

It was mentioned in this case that Iris was supposed to help Dahlia in the fake kidnapping. My question is why would a) Dahlia keep in contact with Iris after she got her dad to give her away and b) why would Iris agree to help in the first place.

I made a custom Ace Attorney case!

    Posted: 21 Jun 2020 01:04 PM PDT

One month ago, my sister introduced me to a site that let you make your own custom Ace Attorney cases, and I've been working on this every day since! This is one of the biggest projects I've ever worked on, and I thought you guys might enjoy it, so I'm putting it on here too. I was mostly focusing on the gameplay and mystery elements, so don't worry, this isn't just a bad fan-fiction.

Here's the link to the post

The game takes place a few years after the third game. Pretty much everything in the trilogy is canon, but I ignored a lot of the lore that came after it (i.e. Phoenix never got disbarred).

Here's the synopsis: You play as the genuine Bobby Fulbright, a justice-obsessed police detective and undercover investigator, along with his trusty protégé, Apollo Justice. A mysterious serial killer has been picking off local prosecutors one by one, and when your friend is suspected of being the one behind the killings, you jump to defend them in court. But the question is, how WILL you defend them? After all, you're not even a lawyer.

What is your favorite piece of music in the series?

    Posted: 21 Jun 2020 11:23 AM PDT

Just curious about other peoples' opinions! I'm a longtime fan of the series (played the originals when I was 12 and was so convinced for a while I wanted to be a lawyer, haha) and have only met a handful of people irl who've ever played them. My favorite themes from the games tend to be from the original trilogy, and I guess nostalgia's a factor in that.

I'd probably say my favorites are The Fragrance of Dark Coffee, Great Revival, and the T&T Objection theme. Kurain Village is really cool too, I love how mysterious and creepy it sounds.

    What happened to Winston Payne?

    Posted: 22 Jun 2020 12:44 AM PDT

Gaspen Payne was fired by Chief Prosecutor Edgeworth for corruption and had moved to Khura'in by the time of SOJ.

What happened to Winston, who apparently never did anything that was actually illegal or corrupt?

What do you guys think of my unpopular opinions?

    Posted: 21 Jun 2020 03:18 PM PDT

    • The fact that Klavier gets no development isn't a big deal when other characters are underdeveloped as well.
    • I wouldn't mind Godot making another appearance, they'd just have to handle it right
    • Sister Iris only deserves a cameo, anything more would just ruin her character writing.
    • Spoilers for AJ Trilogy: Thalassa Gramarye telling Apollo and Trucy that they're related isn't really going to work when Apollo is missing.
    • Nahyuta is okay at worst.
    • And finally: I don't think Phoenix should be featured in anymore games.

About using citra to emulate DGS (and baybe dgs-2 if possible)

    Posted: 21 Jun 2020 06:54 PM PDT

What are the best builds to do so? I've heard about dgs being usually laggy in citra and i'd like to avoid so.

The Great Ace Attorney 2-1 evidence question

    Posted: 21 Jun 2020 06:52 PM PDT

When the picture is presented as having a cracked lens or camera, I was curious if a broken lens would actually cause that kind of defect in the picture.

I'm not a photography expert but from my understanding, a cracked or scratched lens should only affect the image in terms of color softening or ghosting.

Also with my limited knowledge of 1900s cameras, it still seems shaky at best that a reporter who is trying to remain anonymous would take 2 pictures with the same easily identifable defect in them.

Anyone else have thoughts on this case? Seems like everyone is completely oblivious to the larger schemes, and I still have no idea why jezail Brett was able to roam free for 9 months and even got her hands on the poison (AGAIN).
