What Ace Attorney villains would you compare to other villains in media? *Spoilers*

    Posted: 21 May 2020 05:11 PM PDT

Manfred Von Karma and Ga'ran Sigatar Khura'in would be compared to Emperor Lord Freeza/Frieza from the Shonen series Dragon Ball Z. Both did their genocide, it backfired, caused a great tragedy that motivated the main hero to what he/she is, have high body counts, both were petty, would do anything to win, abusive, sociopathic, and both also became a foil to the hero's personality and the ultimate path towards their destiny.

Dahlia Hawthorne would probably be related to the real-life Black Dahlia killer in Los Angeles, California.

Matt Engarde would be compared to Prince Hans from Frozen.

Redd White would be compared to the Kingpin from Marvel Comics.

Godot would be compared to Char Azanable from Mobile Suit Gundam.

Simon Keyes/Souta Sarushiro would be compared to Pain from Naruto.

Although not a villain anymore, Miles Edgeworth would be compared to Vegeta from Dragon Ball Z before he finally turned to the side of good.

    What's yours and why?

    AA5 DLC

    Posted: 21 May 2020 04:12 PM PDT

So I'm approaching the end of Dual Destinies, and I've had a lot of fun. Before I move on to Spirit of Justice, I want everyone's opinion. Is the DLC worth buying? Does it add anything to the story that gets brought up later? Is it fun? Is it nostalgic? Or is it just a waste of money?

    Is Turnabout Reclaimed still available?

    Posted: 21 May 2020 08:33 PM PDT

I recently bought Duel Destinies on the 3DS, I have completed the first three cases, but when I press X in Extras and DLC, nothing happens. Is there a chance Nintendo have removed Turnabout Reclaimed from the E-Store? If not, how can I gain access to it, aside from buying it from Google Play Store?

Edit: A litte update. When I press the DLC button, the "Don't turn off the device" text appears with the progress bar. When the progress bar is full, the game goes back to the Extras screen.

Is Capcom taking Ace Attorney seriously?

    Posted: 22 May 2020 12:14 AM PDT

I feel like after playing Spirit of Justice after 2016, I kind of feel like Capcom really doesn't have much interest in the main series anymore and just moved on. It's kind of hanging despite the loose plot-threads that haven't been completed yet, still. But to me, I can see that from Capcom's point-of-view after they finished writing Spirit of Justice compared to Dual Destinies. Or more than any other game actually.

I don't really know for sure if Phoenix has one more meaningful arc. Phoenix's story was already over after Trials and Tribulations, but he's still kept as the series title despite being a moving vehicle for the plot. The only thing that Capcom can do is develop the characters that are just below him, like Apollo and Athena, but I feel like they least care about them and bring back the nostalgia from the Original Trilogy again as always.

I'm starting to think that Capcom has zero ideas about what to do with the series now. Ace Attorney has been one big whole story from the get-go, I don't see anywhere in my mind where it can go forward from here. Is it time to move on or what?

[Request] Anyone have a save file for case 3-2 (The Stolen Turnabout), preferably just before the final testimony?

    Posted: 21 May 2020 06:04 PM PDT

First time posting here so sorry if it is breaking any rules.

Basically, I screwed up when asked if I can prove whether Atmey was at the crime scene and got stuck in a loop of having to present evidence just to lose all my remaining health. Does anyone happen to have a save file for the final day of the trial? I tried looking it up but couldn't find anything.

Edit: I am playing the trilogy on PC, steam version

Mini rant about the end of AJ:AA case one. (The thing Nick asks if you noticed.)

    Posted: 21 May 2020 04:01 PM PDT

I know this has probably been debated to hell and back already, but it's been bugging me ever since I played the game.

Why do they have Nick forge evidence? Nothing about it makes sense, in terms of character, narrative, or even gameplay. In terms of character, Nick has almost as strong a sense of the truth as Edgeworth and I find it hard to believe he would ever forge evidence. That is unless it was as a test, which leads me to my next point.

For the narrative and gameplay, they could've done something interesting and had more forged evidence through out the game from other parties where you had to deduce whether or not the evidence was forged. The card could've acted as a lesson that it's something that could happen and maybe they could've even made it so you could complete the case without using the forged evidence. They could've done a split ending thing where if you used the forged evidence you get a bad ending, bu avoiding it they give you a good one.
Unfortunately they don't do any of that. Nope, they have Nick forge the card and then forged evidence never comes up again aside from the case where Nick gets disbarred. It just doesn't fit.

Anyway, that's my mini-rant. Thanks for reading.

    Question About Franziska

    Posted: 21 May 2020 12:13 PM PDT

I know Franziska Hated Phoenix from the get-go because He "took" so many things from her. Her Father,Her perfect record, Phoenix being"responsible" for making edgeworth "choose death". I thought about this for a while now, But many culprits have killed for very petty reasons Manfred killing Edgeworths father Kristoph Killing Trucy's father

Now the question why did Franziska never thought about Murdering Phoenix?

Did she think Phoenix didn't deserve to be murdered?, Killing Phoenix would the the "easy way out" for him?, Franziska believed killing Phoenix would take it too far? I mean Most of the culprits are extremely petty and Franziska is petty enough to think of a reason to kill Phoenix
