I googled Objection! and this was the result.

Examining each game's chronology, Investigations 1 and Dual Destinies are the worst at going in chronological order.

    Posted: 08 May 2020 09:17 PM PDT

(I have no info for DGS since I haven't played it. Feel free to discuss their chronology but spoiler tag it please)

In general, the Ace Attorney games follow an expected and straightforward movement of time through their cases. PWAA, AJAA, AAI2, and SoJ all go in order fully--if we only count the future-most portion (two of the cases are split into a past and present section).

JFA and T&T closely follow a straightforward chronology with a later-numbered case occurring first in its timeline.

And then there's Investigations 1 and Dual Destinies.

Along with four of its cases occurring in three days, Investigations 1 only follows a straight chronology ONCE, from Turnabout Airlines to The Kidnapped Turnabout. Otherwise, it's jumping back and forth.

Then there is Dual Destinies. Although number-wise it is technically more straightforward than AAI, it has the special mention of having a case occur WITHIN another case. If we assume the DLC case should chronologically be after the main game (since that's when a player is more likely to buy and play it), then Dual Destinies is screwed up more by putting a wedge between the Monstrous Turnabout and Turnabout Academy.

It should come as no surprise, but the only thing they all have in common is having the chronologically final case also being the numerically final case (ignoring DLC).

    PWAA: 1 - 2 - 3 - 4 - 5

    JFA: 2 - 1 - 3 - 4

    T&T: 4 - 1 - 2 - 3 - 5

    AJAA: [4 past] - 1 - 2 - 3 - 4

    AAI: 4 - 2 - 3 - 1 - 5

    AAI2: [3 past] - 1 - 2 - 3 - 4 - 5

    DD: 2 - D - 3 - 4A - 1 - 4B - 5

    SoJ: 1 - 2 - 3 - 4 - 5 - D

[DGS1 Case 2 spoilers] Just started playing this game and I am suffering immensely

What is your favorite introductory case among games 1-5?

    Posted: 08 May 2020 08:09 PM PDT

The introductory cases are special; not only do they introduce the game, but they are also distinguished as being trial-only (3-4 is the only other case that does this). I wanted to create a poll to see what you guys thought the best first case was.

Excluding SOJ as I haven't played it. Excluding the Edgeworth games because since they have different gameplay (not the investigations/trial paradigm), they aren't as connected to the other "firsts" in the same way.

New to AA -- question about music, didn't see a post

    Posted: 08 May 2020 08:18 PM PDT

Noob here, been absolutely LOVING this series so far. Currently at about the half-way point of ep 3 on TT (blind) on Steam

Every single time Pursuit from AA1 kicked in, I was immediately 1000000% emotionally invested in the game for it, and actually cheered out loud irl for moments when it hit outside of court (I legitimately went from "fuck you, gumshoe" to "GUMSHOE FACE TURN" the moment he saved them from Dee's mafia dudes.)

Don't get me wrong - the court theme music has still been good in the sequels, but I get nowhere near as excited for those versions of Pursuit. Is there anything or anywhere I can get classic Pursuit over the TT ones?

The fifth episode of Ace Attorney is getting on my nerves

    Posted: 08 May 2020 11:10 PM PDT

I wanted to know what the consensus about this episode was, I'm pretty sure it's only on the DS or that it was added to new releases after the DS version but it's really getting on my nerves how difficult these court cases are to get through.

I'm still on the first court session and the first thing to get me is having to >! Press in a certain order, I've already pressed one option several times and found nothing. All of a sudden I Press it after pressing another and it progresses the case !< Something which I haven't had to do in the game up until now.

Another problem is the lack of detail in the map of the complex, knowing >! that there is a passage circling he garage would have been a big help and it wouldn't have me make a huge leap in logic !< , Speaking of leaps in logic.

Is it not possible that the the chief prosecutor >! Knew that Edgeworth had a knife in his car, thus allowing her to still have a premeditated kill !< . This episode is rubbing me the wrong way, I've been on top of it the whole game but the kind of leaps in logic that this one is giving me makes me a little a n g e r y

How many blends of coffee does Godot have?

    Posted: 08 May 2020 09:56 AM PDT

I finished the game but I don't remember him saying how many blends does he have, and if someone know, please tell me. Also if possible tell me something about blend he mentions, if not it's ok, I'm just going to play it again.

What is your favorite beta design for an AA character?

    Posted: 08 May 2020 08:46 AM PDT

What's a beta design for an Ace Attorney character that you really enjoy that wasn't finalized in the game? For me it might be one of Raymond Shields where he had poofier hair and wore suspenders instead of a tie and fedora

People of the ace attorney fandom

    Posted: 08 May 2020 09:23 AM PDT

In October 2021 the first ace attorney game will be 20 years old so in celebration on Halloween of 2021 we should cosplay ace attorney characters. (I know Halloween of 2021 is a long way away and we haven't had Halloween in 2020 yet but it's just an idea I had.
