Average case ranking from 40+ r/AceAttorney tier lists Posted: 04 May 2020 05:59 PM PDT I was bored so I decided to take data from all the case tier lists I could find posted on r/AceAttorney and use it to create an average community opinion tier list. The method I used was to, for each individual list, assign each tier a number from 1 to 9 based on how close it is to the top or bottom. The cases in the middle tier get 5 points, the ones in the top get 1, the ones slightly below that get 2 or 3, etc. Then I simply took the average of all the numbers for each case. Here's some analysis on the placements of the cases.

Ace Attorney What-if: What if Mia Fey became a Prosecutor? *Spoilers* Posted: 04 May 2020 09:25 PM PDT What if for some reason, Mia decided to find the truth about the DL-6 Incident as a prosecutor instead? How would the whole events of the Original Trilogy playout for Phoenix Wright, Miles Edgeworth, Maya Fey, and everyone else in the trilogy? [link] [comments]
Great Ace Attorney 2 translation progress? Posted: 04 May 2020 07:33 PM PDT Just wondering how the translation is going by Scarlet Study. Super excited for the next episode to be released as it's legit the only video game related thing I'm looking forward to lol. Props to the team for their hard work and giving me the chance to play such awesome games in the Ace Attorney series. [link] [comments]

Trying to find a particular image of Phoenix that I once used as a Steam avatar long ago. Posted: 04 May 2020 05:27 PM PDT I know this is quite the long shot, but I'll try anyway. I'm pretty certain this was NOT an official piece of artwork, but a piece of fan art. It was simply Phoneix staring directly at the viewer with his finger pointing at the viewer. He looked a bit more "anime" if that makes any sense, with an extremely serious expression on his face. Almost to the point where he was someone you wouldn't want to mess with. The other thing is I sort of recall this image being used in the past with a phrase "you are already guilty" to make a meme image out of it, but I couldn't find any such thing. It stinks that I can't find it because I can picture it fairly well in my head. [link] [comments]
Which case in the Original Trilogy is the darkest? 3-5 discussion as well. *Spoilers* Posted: 04 May 2020 04:20 PM PDT I know I've been arguing about 5-5 and 6-5 by believing that they are the darkest and unspeakable cases in the whole series. But finding anyone that agrees to me tries to rebuke that these cases aren't as dark as they seem. But I try to complain that they are, for now... Let's switch the topic. The darkest case in the Original Trilogy is Bridge to the Turnabout. The last case that Shu Takumi pulled off when he raises the stakes in the final case of the game during the end narrative of his games. Song to reference: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b6eKE5YXHvI Imagine believing you were no one, that what you see is what you hate. This is the case between Diego Armando/Godot against Dahlia Hawthorne channeled after she was executed. He didn't realize he was going to commit murder and that the case couldn't have happened if he hadn't intervened to save Maya's life, but he did. He winded up killing his girlfriend's mother and conspirator only because she looked the woman he despised following his vendetta on Wright for not saving her. And Misty would've turned out to be a good mother to Maya and maybe the already dead Mia if she revealed to them that they were alive. And heck, her father is almost completely non-existent and I don't even know what Grossberg thinks of the current situation with all his employees gone. Turned into nothing because of the tragic events that have unfolded. "The only time when a lawyer can cry is when it's all over." Thing is, while this was on the DS at the final case of Trials and Tribulations' overarching plot, it wasn't really as hammered down more compared to 5-5 and 6-5. Those cases were as more hammered to cut you really deep and not to mention the victims who were as good as the eye can see inside a flawed world that is Ace Attorney. 5-5 was where things fell apart because Apollo was optimistic no matter what right after Clay's death and whole Space Center thing revolving around Athena. 6-5 hit deep with the Kingdom of Khura'in, Apollo's starting point there, Royal Family, and Queen Ga'ran. Just two "DL-6" tropes used again in an exaggerated way so to speak. A side-effect of Yamazaki's writing in the main series 3DS games. Unlike the DS games. "A dragon never yields." Which case in the Original Trilogy do you compete with 5-5 and 6-5 in terms of darkness and why? [link] [comments]
A villain who became an ever better villain at the end of the trilogy [Original trilogy spoilers] Posted: 04 May 2020 11:55 PM PDT Manfred von Karma. He was already a great villain by the end of 1-4 due to how ingenious and badass he was, and how fun his murder mystery was to solve in court. But honestly, I like von Karma as a villain a lot more after completing the original trilogy. Because it ultimately establishes that Manfred is directly responsible for just about every main character's current status.
It's amazing to realize how much of the main character backstory is owed directly to him. It makes me like him as a villain a lot more. [link] [comments]
Posted: 04 May 2020 07:50 PM PDT In the original game I am at Rise from the Ashes, I am currently in the evidence room in the police station, I accidentally sprayed everything before examining the entire room, so Gumshoe won't leave and Edgeworth is not in the High Prosecutors Office. Does AA4 assassinate Phoenix's and Ema's characters? Posted: 04 May 2020 01:28 PM PDT I'm having an argument about AA4 in a youtube comment section with somebody who hates AA4 (I believe he said it was the worst game he had ever played) and I'm trying to convince him that it's not that bad but I last played the game years ago so I don't remember that much Edit: He thinks it's worse than Sonic and the Secret Rings [link] [comments]
Two things that always bugged me in Turnabout Revolution (Massive spoilers, obviously) Posted: 04 May 2020 06:52 AM PDT 1-Am I the only one who thought the civil case involving Paul Atishon and the second half of the case where we discover Apollo's past should have been 2 separate cases that shouls have just followed each other like Cosmic Turnabout and Turnabout for Tommorow in DD? Paul Atishon could have still foreshadow his benefactor, and the case would end when we learn that Inga is the Benefactor. Although the second part follow the first pretty well, both are very different, to the point where anyone strictly involved with the first part are literally written off for the second part (Armie and Paul's Court record are removed) 2-When Apollo and Phoenix stands against Ga'ran... why don't the later just have Apollo and Phoenix be Executed right then and there? She had no issues rewriting laws mid-trial, and her power as queen was Absolute. If she had both killed, wouldn't it be to her advantage? [link] [comments]
Trying to play DGS 1 on Citra Emulator Posted: 04 May 2020 09:20 AM PDT I've dumped my files onto Citra for DGS1 but it runs really slowly (only at 25% speed). I'm using a MacBook Pro 2015 and I don't know how to make the game run better. I'm currently running Citra Nightly 1144 as that is the latest version that works on my MacBook. It's a shame too because this is meant to be one of the best games. Could anyone help? [link] [comments] |
